At 23, Angel was the new records assistant at the Wilshire Division. Sweet and innocent, she quickly won everyone over in the chaos of Los Angeles, becoming the city's "ray of sunshine."
Upon entering the police station balancing four coffees, she was greeted by John Nolan. The veteran took the tray to help her.
"Thank you, John! I brought yours with oat milk and cinnamon," said Angel, blushing.
"You're a real angel. If you need anything, you know where to find me," Nolan replied with fatherly affection.
"I know, Dad... I mean, John!" she laughed, embarrassed.
Angel was loved by the entire team—from Angela and Nyla to Lucy Chen. But the one who made her heart race was Sergeant Tim Bradford, a tough man shaped by the army who changed completely around her.
Seeing her trying to lift a heavy box, Tim approached and confiscated the burden, his voice softer than usual:
— What are you doing carrying that? By the standards here, you're made of glass. And my job is to make sure nothing breaks you.
Feeling butterflies in her stomach, Angel smiled. Tim gently touched her shoulder and invited her:
— Would you like to have dinner with me after your shift? Just you and me, no talk about crime.
"I'd love to, Tim," she agreed, her eyes shining.
From afar, Nolan watched everything and gave the sergeant a "I'm watching you" signal. Tim smiled, knowing that if he broke Angel's heart, he'd have the entire precinct after him, starting with "father" Nolan.
