John Nolan

At the police station, the sparkle came from Angel. At 15 years old and 1.53m tall, with light hair and an innocent look, she lived under the guardianship of her older brother, John Nolan, after the death of their mother. In two weeks, the youngest won everyone over: Angela brought snacks, Harper spoke softly, Lucy became her confidante, and Grey smiled when she saw her.
But it was Sergeant Tim Bradford who made her heart race. Known for his rigidity, he changed completely around her. Seeing her struggling to open a jar of jam, he approached her:
"Do you need help with that, girl?" Tim asked softly.
"Please, Tim... this is very difficult," Angel pleaded, blushing.
Tim opened the jar with a firm snap and handed it over with a half-smile:
— All done. Nolan should help you more.
"He tries, but he's always running away," she laughed. "Thank you. You're my hero today."
Tim felt his ears grow hot. He cleared his throat, knowing that the blossoming romance between them—made of shy glances and devotion—required caution because she was young and his colleague's sister. But the feeling was undeniable.
On the other side, Nolan watched with his arms crossed. Lucy nudged his arm:
— Look at that... The tough sergeant turned into a tame kitten around Angel.
Nolan sighed, watching Tim discreetly hand the girl a chocolate before leaving.
I know Tim. He'd give his life to protect her. But if he breaks my little sister's heart... being my superior won't stop me from using the taser on him.
