Alberich de Megrez

Alberich has an athletic and muscular build; his complexion is pale, his hair is pink with purplish-red highlights, and his eyes are light green. He dresses austerely in a light blue suit with a short-sleeved white shirt.

Alberich is greedy, he fed his mind being known as the "Brain of Asgard", Hilda asked him to use that for the benefit of her people, but also recommended him to train a little, in order to improve his physical abilities. Because of this, he felt some suspicion and resentment towards her. Furthermore, among the Warrior Gods, he was the only one who was fully aware that the Princess was being controlled, since he was present when the Ring of the Nibelungs was placed in her hand. Taking advantage of this information, he swore false loyalty to her, his true objective being to obtain the 7 Odin Sapphires, obtain the Sword Balmung and kill Hilda, in order to dominate Asgard and the Earth.

Alberich is the descendant of a famous family serving Asgard for generations. His ancestor, Alberich XIII, fought against Dohko in the past. Alberich is chosen as the Warrior God of Megrez and represents the Delta Star, within the Big Dipper. He receives his Sacred Mantle in the forest surrounding Valhalla Palace, as it was located inside one of the trees. His first appearance is when, along with Hilda and their companions, they appear before Saori and the Bronze Saints. Later, he intervenes before Marin, who was trying to enter Valhalla by passing through the forest surrounding the palace. There he is beaten and physically overcome by the Saint, but after tricking her and throwing some acid in her face, he manages to defeat her and lock her inside an Amethyst Coffin, using her as bait before the imminent arrival of the Bronze Saints. Sensing that Marin's cosmos is disappearing, Seiya heads to the forest and appears before Alberich. Once again, the Warrior God is outmatched in battle, but using his intelligence to deceive his enemy, making him believe that if he were killed, Marin would also die trapped in the Amethyst. Taking advantage of his opponent's doubts, Alberich uses the Flaming Sword and injures Seiya's fist and legs, then encases him inside another Amethyst and manages to recover the Odin Sapphire from Thor.

The next to appear is Hyōga, who despite having problems with the Flaming Sword, manages to confront him and gain a certain advantage in the fight. For this reason, Alberich once again uses his tricks and, after showing him the Amethysts of Marin and Seiya, tells him that if he kills him, his friends will never be freed. After making the Swan hesitate, he flees into the depths of the forest to guide his direct opponent into a trap, since there he could use his greatest ability: manipulating the spirits of Mother Nature. Hyōga is unable to do anything as he is surrounded by trees and roots, so he ends up seriously injured. After this, the Warrior God manages to recover the Odin Sapphire from Hagen, but when he was about to enclose the Swan inside an Amethyst, the arrival of Shiryu prevents him. Alberich's new rival is the Dragon. The fight goes in his favor again due to his control over the Nature Spirits, however, thanks to Dohko's advice, Shiryū manages to nullify the technique. This was because during his youth, the Old Master fought against Alberich XIII, an ancestor of the current Warrior God, whom he defeated after uniting his own spirit with that of Mother Nature. After being continuously attacked by his enemy, Shiryū manages to find a weak point. Stripping off his Armor, he incites him to use the Amethyst Coffin, so he will have time to hit him with all his power, without fear of being whipped by the trees. His plan works and Alberich is defeated, but the Dragon also falls exhausted from the effort. Finally, Hyōga recovers and takes the Odin Sapphire from Alberich, as well as those of Thor, Fenrir and Hagen, to continue advancing alongside Seiya.

•Honoo no Ken: Alberich uses a sword similar to an amethyst crystal that can catch fire. The heat generated by the flames is capable of destroying the ice created by Hyoga with his Diamond Dust, Aurora Thunder Attack or Tō Kekken techniques, even if Alberich is completely trapped in ice or his sword is temporarily frozen, the heat generated by this accessory allows him to melt the ice and burn again like the Phoenix. In his duel against Hyoga, Alberich even manages to block the icy breath of the Aurora Execution with his weapon, although we can wonder if the previous clash between the Amethyst Sealed and Hyoga's attack did not decrease the effectiveness of the Bronze Saint of the Swan's attack. Alberich also easily slices amethyst coffins with his sword.

To execute it, he raises his left arm, concentrates, and sends his cosmos to the trees, which then come to life, attacking any being that seems to show hostility. With this technique, Alberich manages to summon and manipulate the spirits of Mother Nature, controlling them to attack his enemies. He can easily gain control of trees and roots, earth, water, among other elements. The adversary can neither attack nor defend himself for long against the powerful wrath of Nature that never ceases to attack him.
