Persona Attributes

Appearance.

Minos is a man of average build who always wears his Griffon surplice. He has long, white hair that reaches his waist, grey eyes, and pale skin.

Personality.

Minos displays a personality that is calm yet irascible, skillful, sarcastic, ironic, intelligent, ambitious for power and destruction, arrogant, bad-tempered, impulsive, passionate, haughty, boastful, and uncompromising. These traits make him the type of man who is the best at what he does. His encounter with the Bronze Saints in Giudecca shows him to be a very authoritarian man. He was determined that nothing would stop him, and something similar could be seen against Hyôga, always showing his confidence in accomplishing his mission.

History.

Little is known about this incarnation of the Griffon Kyotō, only that, like all specters, he renounced his human name to assume that of Minos of Griffon. Shortly after the destruction of Tenma of Pegasus's village, Minos is visited by the king "Hades," who asks him if the Pegasus saint is dead. Minos replies that he is not yet in the archives, assuming he would be neither in the world of the living nor in the underworld. He also mentions that something else strange is happening: the crimes of the human Alone continue to be updated. Faced with Minos's doubt about his identity, Alone burns the book and exclaims that he is now King Hades and that he will bring salvation through death. Minos decides to serve Alone, taking an interest in how he becomes the puppet master of a god. Minos is chosen to lead the invasion of the Sanctuary, along with other Specters who are easily defeated by Albafica of Pisces. However, this does not affect Minos, who dominates the Golden Saint with his Cosmic Puppet, breaking all his bones, leaving him seemingly unable to fight and on the verge of death. Later, when he invades the neighboring village of Rodorio, he encounters Shion of Aries and subsequently Albafica, who had not died and, determined not to let the Kyotō go, throws his Crimson Thorn at him once more, which Minos repels without much difficulty and attacks Albafica. Feeling triumphant over Pisces, he decides to confront Aries, but is informed that it is pointless to fight him, as Albafica has already defeated him. Minos then looks at his chest; Albafica has thrown a Bloody Rose imbued with his own poisoned blood. Furious, he attacks with his Gigantic Feather Flap, intending to destroy the village and his enemies, but Shion has placed his Crystal Wall, and Minos finally dies, a victim of Pisces' technique. 247 years later, Minos's soul returns to life to serve the lord Hades once more.

History.

Minos and his troops, who were on Earth due to Pandora's summons, go to the Underworld, as Athena went to the Underworld to kill Hades. In the Underworld, Minos receives another summons from Pandora, this time to go to Judecca. Busy with Pandora's summons, he leaves Lune in charge of guarding the first prison. Minos, along with the other two Underworld judges, are invited by Pandora to attend Orpheus's recital, but Orpheus betrays them, using a technique to put them to sleep along with Pandora and Aiacos, thus killing Hades without their interference. Later (upon waking), he learns that Rhadamantys eliminated Orpheus and Pegasus, and that Andromeda turned out to be Hades. He wonders, along with the other three judges, how it's possible that the Saint of Andromeda is Hades, to which Pandora silences them, saying that only she is in charge of that. She then orders them to kill all the Saints of Athena who have entered the Underworld. Minos intervenes with Aiacos to help Rhadamantys, who was having trouble fighting Kanon of Gemini. Rhadamantys tells them not to interfere, to which Minos replies, "If we hadn't arrived in time, Kanon would have already killed you." Aiacos surprises Kanon with his Galactica Illusion, but Rhadamantys intervenes, saying that he is Kanon's rival, so Aiacos's technique only leaves Kanon badly hurt. Minos ignores Rhadamantys and begins to torture Kanon with his Cosmic Marionation, starting by breaking a finger, but then says he'd like to torture him all day, but he has important things to do, so he decides to cut off his head. At that moment, Ikki appears and cuts the strings of his technique, saving Kanon. Aiacos decides to eliminate this nuisance, but Ikki hits him, knocking off his helmet, and begins to fight Aiacos, leaving Minos watching the fight. Ikki wins, and Minos is surprised, but Ikki is teleported by Pandora to Judecca and disappears.

History.

Minos advances towards Judecca to eliminate all the Saints of Athena gathered there and leaves Radamanthys to deal with Kanon. In Judecca, he fights Seiya and Shun, defeating them with a single blow, but the explosion caused by the Golden Saints destroying the Wall of Lamentations throws him into the air. Later, Minos survives the explosion and goes after the group of bronze saints trying to cross the wall, but only stops Cygnus, thus confronting Hyōga, who freezes the entrance to the wall's tunnel with an Ice Wall, a variant of the Freezing Coffin that not even the Golden Saints could break. Minos tells him that he is a Judge of Hell and the most powerful Specter, so he shouldn't take it lightly, and destroys the wall with a single blow. Hyōga attacks him with his Diamond Dust, but Minos easily stops the attack with one hand and returns it with more power to Hyōga, leaving the saint completely wounded. He then decides to torment Hyōga with Cosmic Marionation, but the Cygnus saint manages to freeze the threads and then attacks with the Aurora Execution, putting all his power into it, reaching absolute zero. Hyōga, believing he has defeated the judge, jumps into the Hyperdimension, but sees that he still has a thread hanging from him. It's Minos, who is still alive, so he jumps into the Hyperdimension to stop the bronze saints, but his body is destroyed by the Hyperdimension, as those without divine blood are exterminated by it.

Techniques/Attacks

•Cosmic Marionation: This consists of using a network of invisible threads from the Griffon Surplice. There is an unbreakable thread called the "Underworld Thread," which controls the opponent's neck. • Gigantic Feathers Flap: Minos concentrates his cosmos while, behind him, the image of a griffin is projected. Then, he unfurls the wings of his Surplice, generating a powerful gust of wind that extends several meters around him, throwing everything in its path into the air. •Cosmic Marionation Variation: This is a technique used by Minos of Griffon in which he uses his cosmos to create invisible threads that extend from each of his fingers. With them, he traps and immobilizes his opponent, leaving him at the mercy of his next move. In this way, Minos can control every part of his opponent's body as if he were a puppet. •Forced Retreat: This technique involves manipulating invisible threads to control the enemy's technique, deflecting it and reversing it back towards them. •Hell's Dive: This is a technique used by Minos of Griffon that concentrates his cosmos and launches invisible threads that subdue the opponent to the point of enveloping and tearing their muscles to death.
