Like Mu, he is a passive, calm and faithful Saint to Athena, which is evidenced when he cries before the decapitated head of the goddess, this fact is one of the most important since as a result of the same Avenir has generated and fueled a great hatred towards Hades, the twin gods and the Specters, another characteristic of this Saint is that he has a great interest in Mu's stories, showing himself happy when Hakurei told him them.

Avenir was the Saint of Aries during a holy war against Hades, in which the god of the underworld emerges victorious and decapitates Athena and the Patriarch; Avenir, Yūgo, and five soldiers survive the battle and find Athena's head, subsequently a giant hourglass envelops the survivors and returns them in time to the 16th century. Avenir replies that he was indeed a Saint of Aries and that he understood the reasons for suspicion, however Avenir tells them that he knows about the ferocity of the holy war and that is why he wishes to be allowed to return to fight for Athena to prevent Hades from being able to resurrect again, although if this was impossible Avenir asks them to help him prevent those gods from re-emerging for the next Holy War. During the War against Hades, Avenir encounters the Specters of the Deadly Beetle and the Cyclops accompanied by several Skeletons, Stand and his companions cannot believe that the man in front of them is the Saint of Aries who had been killed in battle, which Avenir corrects by stating that he is not the former Saint of Aries but that he is a man who escaped death and lived in the future that Hades' army has destroyed, after saying these words, Avenir uses his Starlight Extinction to finally finish them off.

After this Hakurei arrives at the place and emphasizes the recklessness of the Gold Saint but Avenir was willing to take the risks that his actions entail since after all his presence in the 16th century is suspicious but Hakurei stops him and encourages him to place his trust in his new companions since they are fighting in this holy war and that they also share the desire to save the future, Avenir explains to his companion that it is not a lack of trust, but that he must fulfill his mission as a Saint of Aries so he will be a "shield" that will sacrifice himself for others to defeat Hades and his army once and for all. At an unknown moment in the war, Avenir fulfills his wish to save Athena and be her shield when he protects her from a deadly attack in which he loses his life before the incredulous looks of the goddess and his companions, Sage and Hakurei. When Shion touches the Cloth of Aries, Avenir's spirit emerges from the Pandora's Box before the young man. Avenir tells him that he was waiting for Shion's arrival, then Avenir proceeds to show him his memories [2]. Afterwards, Avenir's spirit appears to help Shion defeat Kairos. Avenir reappears in a memory of Shion, when he was caught by one of Kairos' techniques, during that moment we can see him look at Shion with a satisfied smile, which gives Shion the will to go on and defeat his enemy at that time. In the 21st century, when Shion is resurrected by Hades to serve him as Specter, Avenir's spirit along with other Saints are in the Underworld and appear to place their trust in Shion and the new generation in the battle that was going to begin against Hades.
