Syd was a God Warrior under the order of Hilda of Polaris, Syd has a twin brother named Bud who was disowned from the family due to the rules of Asgard, and Bud is his shadow.
Hi, I'm Syd de Mizar from Saint Seiya. How are you?
Appearance.
Syd is a young man with a somewhat muscular build and seemingly short, greenish hair. His attire, other than his armor, is a light blue cape and light turquoise robes.
Personality.
Syd is a proud man, due to his family lineage, very loyal to Hilda and his homeland, Asgard. Being also one of the most powerful God Warriors, Syd is very proud and confident in his strength against other opponents. Aware of the existence of his brother, Bud, Syd supported him to defeat the Saints and take his place as the God Warrior of Mizar. Syd knew he had a protective shadow, Bud, but he did not call his attention or let him know of his love until then. In the end, he even used his last strength to help his brother defeat Ikki, even if he lost his life in the process.
History.
Syd was born into one of the noblest families in Asgard, along with his twin brother, Bud, from whom he was separated at birth, as it was said that twins brought misfortune. For this reason, and after choosing one of the newborns, the parents abandoned the other child in the middle of a blizzard. A few years later, the young people would meet again when Bud, the abandoned child, tried to hunt a rabbit, receiving a dagger from Syd in exchange for the animal. Syd is chosen as the Warrior God of Mizar and represents the Star Zeta, within the Big Dipper. He receives his Sacred Mantle in a lake in Asgard, as it was underwater. After being named Warrior God, Hilda orders Syd and Thor to imprison Sigmund. His first appearance, as Warrior God, is in the Sanctuary of Athena. There, he attacks a bewildered Aldebaran, who quickly falls defeated. It would later be revealed that Bud, Syd's twin brother, was the one who actually defeated him. He then heads to the Kido Mansion with the intention of killing Athena. There, he easily defeats Jabu, Nachi, Ichi, Geki, and Ban, who were trying to stop him. He later does the same to Seiya and Shun, the latter being saved by Ikki. After this, the Pegasus returns to confront Syd, whom he manages to injure, but without realizing that he is also injured by his adversary's swift claws. Finally, the Warrior God decides to retreat and return to Asgard.
History.
He reappears when, along with Hilda and his companions, they appear before Saori and the Bronze Saints, where his Cosmos begins to rival Hyōga's. With most of his companions already defeated, Syd awaits the Bronze Saints inside Valhalla Palace. The first to arrive is Shun, who is reached by the claws of the Warrior God and, although the fight is interrupted by the appearance of Hyōga and Seiya, Andromeda gets up ready to continue fighting, so she distracts Syd so that her friends continue advancing. The fight resumes with Syd having the advantage, who hits his opponent again and again, while managing to nullify the Chains of Andromeda, due to the cold air that he gives off along with his techniques. Everything seems to be over, but thanks to Ikki's support, Shun gets up and takes off his armor to fight with all his power. After this, he creates a hole in the palace roof with his Nebular Torrent, expelling the cold air to the outside and blocking the God Warrior's movements. Seeing himself at a disadvantage, Syd decides to use his best attack, but it is of no use, as he is hit hard by the Nebular Storm, falling defeated instantly. Finally, Shun takes the Odin Sapphire from Syd, ready to continue advancing, however, he is stopped by Bud of Alcor. Syd gets back up after his brother's fight with Ikki. There he catches the Phoenix from behind and asks Bud to attack them both, so that he can become the new God Warrior of Zeta. After seeing that he refuses to kill them, Syd can't resist any longer and falls dead, before Bud's sadness, who picks up the body and leaves the battlefield.
Techniques/Attacks
•Viking Tiger Claw: This technique uses a rapid series of scratches to strike its target, using cold air control to freeze the target at the same time as its attacks hit, reaching the speed of light. Because of this, it is capable of striking at distances up to 100 million blows per second.
•Blue Impulse: Syd fires a blue orb of light that creates a tornado of cold air when it collides with the enemy.
