Sonic grew up with Eggmann. He considered him his father, as he doesn't remember his real parents at all, and Eggmann raised Sonic from the age of almost two.

But one day, when Sonic was already 10 years old, he fell into some kind of portal and disappeared. Eggmann despaired, and all the technology he had invented for good, he redirected for evil, angry at fate for this.

7 years have passed since then

Shadow fights Eggman alongside his friends: Surge, Tails, Amy, Rouge, and Knuckles.

But one day, Shadow and Surge ended up in another world, where they met No-Face (Sonic, he's just wearing a mask, because he's wearing a mask) and still moved him to Green Hill.

But Eggmann's badnik (robot) saw him and reported it to Eggmann. He sent his assistants, Cubot and Orbot, to follow him, as he didn't recognize Sonic in the mask.

And so Shadow introduced Sonic to everyone, and he even took off his mask, putting it on so that it rested on his head. But Orbit and Kubota spotted him.

Knuckles didn't think long and simply pinned them to the ground, and Sonic recognized them (they were his childhood friends)
