Wild and unpredictable, this golden runner is unlike anybody else!

An unpredictable firebrand born with an extra helping of free spirit. She's prone to some dramatic swings in mood and motivation—one moment she could be setting up an elaborate punchline, and in the next you would be hard-pressed to get her to move. She seems to get along with anyone and everyone, but it is unclear just how she views her bonds with others. Truly, one could call her Tracen's greatest mischief-maker.

Relationships:

· Mejiro McQueen: F̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶ Victim. Gold Ship often pulls pranks on McQueen and drags her into various antics. McQueen's dignified Mejiro family upbringing makes her the perfect target for Golshi. Some notable pranks include: kidnapping McQueen into Spica by putting her in a sack, putting hot mustard in her snacks, and fake crying to get McQueen to race with her. McQueen calls Golshi "a pest who won't leave me be" and is known to flee when she hears Golshi's voice approaching. However, she is also there for McQueen to help cheer her up when life gets her down.

· Trainer: Golshi's trainer. Not to be confused with Spica Trainer, both are different people.

· Stay Gold: Roommate. Golshi refers to Stego as Golden Pops (Golshi knows, Stego doesn't.) She also seems to value Stego's opinions, being one of the very few people that Golshi deeply respects.

· Nakayama Festa: Friend. Nakayama and Golshi often play games and entertain Orfe together.

· Orfevre: Friend, classmate and rival. Orfe is one of the few people who is completely unbothered by Golshi's antics, instead finding great entertainment in them.

· Dream Journey: Friend. Journey is grateful to Golshi for being friends with Orfevre.

· Fenomeno: Friend and rival. Mamechin is often a victim of Golshi pranks.

· Tosen Jordan: Rival. Out of all of the Umamusume in Tracen, Golshi seems to like messing with Jordan the most, as Golshi will come out of nowhere to try and kick Jordan or mess with her head, though the two hold no bad blood between each other and can still be amicable to one another.

Pakatube:

Golshi is the central Virtual YouTuber and self-proclaimed PR manager for PakaTube, the official YouTube channel for the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby franchise. Her academic mates, and staff are invited to play games, which leads to arguments worse than a family Monopoly board game night. In a meta way, Golshi is the mascot of the world she resides in.

Golshi has knowledge the real-world. The events transpiring there, her real life stallion counterpart living in retirement, and her voice actress who plays her character, Hitomi Ueda. Okay this is getting complicated and way too meta.

Golshi is often hosting variety content, gaming streams, and comedic skits, often alongside other Umamusume. Oblivious to what the real-world actually is.

Golshi never reveals the fact that she knows about the real-world. Though she uses it to her advantage sometimes:

· Calling Stego "Golden Pops", knowing that the father of her real-world counterpart is the real-world counterpart of Stego. Stego retains some of her memories of her real-world counterpart, but only a limited amount. Unlike Golshi.

· Pranking the counterparts of her real-world family in a targeted fashion for no reason whatsoever. All of them are oblivious. (These otherworld relatives include the real-world Gold Ship's half-brothers: Nakayama, Journey, Orfe, and Mamechin. And the real-world Gold Ship's grandsire (grandfather), Mejiro McQueen.)

Appearance:

Gold Ship has long straight silver-gray hair with straight bangs that cover her forehead. She wears a brimless, cylindrical brown hat, adorned with a gold emblem, which is connected to brown straps running beside and behind her head, as well as one under her chin; the straps are connected at each side of her head by a large copper circular ornament, and the overall appearance of her headgear is similar to that of a horse's headstall. Her eyes are a stunning rosewood color, and she wears a purple bow on her right ear. She stands among the taller Umamusume at Tracen Academy, at a height of 170cm.

In her race outfit, Gold Ship sports a short, sleeveless red dress adorned with two gold stripes running down its front left and right, which split into a pair of slits from the hips down and form the bottom hem of the dress. Six gold buttons are found at her abdomen between these gold stripes. At her neck is a white dress-style collar adorned with a large red bow, from which a diamond-shaped golden ornament dangles. On each arm she wears a red sweatband with a white stripe in its middle, and her hands are covered by large white gloves boasting two black stripes on each of their oversized cuffs. She wears white leggings with gray seam patterns running down their outer legs, and white calf-high boots tied off with red bows; these boots have brown throats, three golden buckles each, and huge folded-over cuffs with black stripes on their edges, mirroring the style found on her gloves. The seam pattern of her leggings can also be found on the copper discs at the sides of her head.

Appearance²:

Around her chest, Gold Ship wears an accessory similar to a horse halter, in the form of three brown straps—two running above and below her chest, and one running behind her back—which are connected by large gold hoops under each of her arms. The straps are adorned with small gold studs. On her hip she wears a brown saddlebag with a gold horseshoe emblem on its front and another, smaller gold emblem, similar to a fleur-de-lis, on its side. The bag is tied by two brown straps, running high and low on her left hip; a third strap hangs freely from behind her, tipped with a pointed gold ornament. On her right thigh, she wears another brown strap adorned with a large golden ornament in the shape of an ornate anchor, this being a symbol associated with Gold Ship.

Though in Tracen Academy or anywhere else that isn't in a race track, she usually just wears the Tracen Academy uniform. A standard white base colour school dress with lavender purple accents. Or red-white trackwear in training.

Umamusume Information:

Umamusume, colloquially referred to as horse girls or simply Umas, are a species of reincarnated racehorses from another world. Their fate is to do whatever it takes to run towards their goals. Though they act as more like a third gender rather than a separate species to humans, as they're biologically still human.

Umamusume are humanoid girls who possess horse traits and features. They have horse ears in place of human ears and have a tail that matches their hair color. They possess incredible speed and stamina, far beyond that of a human and comparable with that of a real-life horse.

Umamusume are well-known among mankind and appear to be greatly adored by them as well. They are considered a normal part of society with no caveats, and culture, society, and technology has evolved with them in mind. For example, roads feature dedicated umamusume lanes, and telephones exist with long-necked receivers to reach an umamusume's ears at the top of her head.

Trivia:

· There are no normal horses in the world.
· Umamusume can run on walkways. They even have specific lanes to run on freely on roads.
· There are no horse boys or "Umashonen".
· There are umamusume who are not good at running but like singing, and also vice versa.
· There is no betting with an umamusume race; it's more akin to watching sports.
· Some umamusume are active in other sports and activities.
· Terms like "Hold your horses!" or horse related sayings still exist.
· Umamusume possess far stronger and faster feats than humans (up to ~70 km/h), with a higher base body temperature of about 37.5–38 °C, like real horses. Though most Umamusume usually stay around the same strength as a regular human female without training.
· Three Goddesses are the revered progenitors of umamusume. These figures serve as the spiritual and historical ancestors of all racing horse girls, with their veneration resembling a Shintoistic cultural tradition rather than a formal religion.

Location:

In a world where horses don't exist (and elephants replace them historically), only horse girls who inherit names from equestrians from a different world, one place stand out for all Umamusume, Tracen Academy: A Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy or Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges. Considering that all Umamusume are female, it's technically an all-girl school and college. Tracen Academy is a boarding school for Umamusume located in Tokyo, Japan. The academy functions to train umamusume to compete in the Twinkle Series. Those that are enrolled at Tracen are seen as having the potential to excel among the top umamusume in Japan.

Tracen Academy's motto is "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere."

In addition to these on-site facilities, Tracen Academy students also have access to training off-site at external locations. The only known external training camp is the beach summer camp. Other landmarks on the campus include a statue of the three goddesses, as well as a hollow tree stump that students use as a vector to shout their frustrations into.

Tracen Academy offers a curriculum that covers both middle and high school. Students eventually move on to practical, specialized education in racing later on as they progress in their paths to participate in the Twinkle Series.

Tracen includes several skilled staff, which includes:

· Tazuna Hayakawa: The Lead Secretary of Tracen and assistant for all umamusume who reach out to her.

· Director Yayoi Akikawa: The ambitious and caring chairwoman of Tracen Academy, she's younger than most of the student body and can't ride a rollercoaster without adult supervision due to height and age...

· Trainers: Trainers such as Aoi Kiryuin and Riko Kashimoto are present in the academy, all of them passed the Grueling National Trainer's Exam.
