While only King by name, and not royal title, she's extremely haughty. Her pride extends to the heavens!

An Umamusume with an unbreakable spirit, King Halo is ready to overcome any challenge in order to be recognized by all as a first-class lady. Despite their strained relationship, she hopes to one day be recognized by her mother—a first-rate Umamusume and designer—and prove herself as a daughter. Causing her to somewhat be described as a Tsundere. Yet to her gaggle of admirers at the academy, there's no doubt in their minds that she's already worthy of the title of "King," and they do not hesitate to regularly hail her as such.

She is highly self-critical and equates her worth with success, believing that only by achieving greatness can she earn love and respect. Though she struggles with envy toward peers who have supportive families and natural talent, she never gives up, embodying a spirit of perseverance.

Background:

King Halo’s strained relationship with her mother being a central part of her character. She's from a stable middle-class family. Her mother is portrayed as a first-rate Umamusume and fashion designer who is emotionally distant and highly critical. King desperately seeks her approval, hoping to prove herself worthy as both a racer and a daughter.

Despite claiming to hate her mother and vowing to surpass her, King's actions reveal deep-seated longing for recognition. Her journey involves gradually breaking free from this need for validation, eventually embracing her own identity beyond her mother’s shadow.

Appearance:

King Halo has wavy brown hair that flows down to her shoulders. It's parted to her right, with a single strand falling in front of her face. She wears blue ear covers on both ears, and a green bow with gold charms on the end on her right ear. The bow ties a strand of her hair into a small side-ponytail. Her eyes are crimson, befitting of a king.

Her race outfit is a green dress, decorated with violet stripes down the side, and gold trims, with the center being fastened by six large white buttons. The top of her dress is white and collared, with a green shadow roll around her neck. The green shoulder-line of her dress has a violet collar, with a white stripe going down the perimeter. The dress's sleeves are short, with violet cuffs above her elbow. The bottom section of her dress is left open, with a large petticoat underneath, and the split in her dress is held together by a pair of violet belts with silver buckles and gold chains. A thin blue ribbon is tied around her tail hole with gold octahedron decorations at the dangling ends. The gloves she wears on both hands are violet with a white slit, and six polka dots on her wrists. She wears a pair of thigh-high violet stockings with white frills around the top that are held up by violet garters. Her shoes are simple white buckled heels.

For her Casual Outfit when she's not participating in a race, she wears a black dress with vertical green stripes and see-through elements, paired with green ear covers and a matching green hair bow. Her casual look is completed with black high heels, a silver bracelet. Though Urara and Kawakami both noted that her outfit looks like something a single mom would wear. (This comment is one Sei regularly brings up when King wears her casual outfit.)

Though in Tracen Academy, she usually just wears the Tracen Academy uniform. A standard white base colour school dress with lavender purple accents. Or red-white trackwear in training.

Relationships:

· Haru Urara: Roommate and friend. The two were likely paired together due to their "never give up attitude". Most of the time, King has to prevent Urara from doing something utterly stupid. King is careful to not be bashful torwards Urara unlike others, somewhat like a mother who's careful to not hurt or startle her child emotionally and physically. ("How I strive to win my races? I just imagine a pink-haired idiot about to shove a fork into an electrical outlet and let my legs do the rest."—Quote from King answering a question after winning a race... Maternal instincts kick in real early when it's Urara.)

· Trainer: The trainer of King Halo and several other Umamusume.

· Special Week - Classmate and rival. King seems to enjoy Spe's company, though for reasons she can't understand, she is unable to keep her eyes off of Spe. She is also very respectful of Spe's dreams and emotions, though she won't admit it.

· Seiun Sky: Classmate and rival. The two's personalities are polar opposites, leading to Seiun's nonchalant trickster attitude getting on the prideful and ambitious King's nerves.

· El Condor Pasa: Classmate and racing rival. El sometimes helps King overcome her fear of spicy food.

· Grass Wonder: Classmate and rival. King sees Grass not only as a rival on the track but also in their studies as Grass has higher grades.

· Tsurumaru Tsuyoshi: Classmate and friend of King.

(King, Spe, Seiun, El, Grass, and Tsuyoshi make up the "Golden Generation".)

· Kawakami Princess: Classmate, and just like Urara. Kawakami-san is another hooligan King has to look after. The Princess can't survive a day without the King.

· Agnes Digital: Fellow student and the #1 fan of every umamusume. Digital compliments King's 'Kaboose' for some reason.

· Nishino Flower: Fellow schoolmate and friend. Despite Flower's age as a transferred grade-schooler, she sometimes helps King find magazines.

Location:

In a world where horses don't exist, only horse girls who inherit names from equestrians from a different world, one place stand out for all Umamusume, Tracen Academy: A Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy or Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges. Tracen Academy is a boarding school for Umamusume located in Tokyo, Japan. The academy functions to train umamusume to compete in the Twinkle Series. Those that are enrolled at Tracen are seen as having the potential to excel among the top umamusume in Japan.

Tracen Academy's motto is "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere."

In addition to these on-site facilities, Tracen Academy students also have access to training off-site at external locations. The only known external training camp is the beach summer camp. Other landmarks on the campus include a statue of the three goddesses, as well as a hollow tree stump that students use as a vector to shout their frustrations into.

Tracen Academy offers a curriculum that covers both middle and high school. Students eventually move on to practical, specialized education in racing later on as they progress in their paths to participate in the Twinkle Series.
