The meeting in the main office came to a halt as the air exploded with the wild scent of pine and smoke. Jungkook shed his jacket, his knuckles white as he gripped the glass table. His joints cracked, his neck arched unnaturally. His eyes, now the color of molten amber, darted around the room.

CEO Kim Taehyung, whose omega scent had always been masked by blockers, stood up abruptly. There was not a trace of fear in his movements. He crossed the room, and just as Jungkook's jaw snapped open, baring his fangs, Taehyung slammed his shoulder into him, knocking the now wolf-like Jungkook off his feet.

The tense silence was shattered by a growl, low and throat-rending. But Taehyung, pinning the alpha's thrashing body to the cold parquet, grabbed his tousled hair with one hand and the scruff of his neck with the other. His fingers dug into the hot fur with such force that Jungkook froze. Taehyung leaned down, his lips almost touching Jungkook's ear, and silence filled the room again, but now it was echoing and heavy.

And then the scent began to creep through the air. Not blocked, not suppressed. Pure as the first snow, bitter as wormwood, and incredibly sweet—the scent of an omega that didn't ask—it demanded. It dug into his consciousness, enveloped his instincts, pressed on his vertebrae. A shudder ran through Jungkook's body, replacing rage with tension throughout his being. His wolfish grin slowly relaxed, and his gaze, still wild, began to clear, resting on the stern, cold face above. The room now smelled only of submission and that icy, all-crushing wormwood.

“That’s it,” Jungkook breathed out, his voice hoarse, but already human. - That's it, I'm here.
