Charon of the Celestial Star of Tranquility is one of the 108 Specters of Hades' army. He protects the immense Stygian lake, so vast it seems like a sea, with a muddy current populated by souls who in life did neither good nor evil but who did not have the money to pay the rough boatman for the crossing, the specter Charon, whose boat is the only means of crossing the river. In the center of the Styx there is a point where the water is colder and is formed by all the souls that fell from Charon's boat.

Techniques/Attacks

•Rolling Oar: This is a technique used by Charon in which he uses the oar from the Acheron Surplice to attack and block the opponent's attacks. The Specter places his oar in front of him and begins to spin it at a speed of Mach 18. While spinning his oar, he can use it to strike the opponent as they approach, and he can also use it to create a barrier in front of him, because the resistance of the oar and the speed at which it is spinning can block the opponent's attacks, as he did with the impacts produced by Seiya's Pegasus Ryūsei Ken. However, an attack that exceeds the speed at which the oar is spinning is sufficient to break through this barrier, and it can be assumed that an attack with enough power to destroy the oar should also be able to overcome this barrier. •Eddying Current Crusher: This is Charon of Acheron's most powerful technique, which he only uses when he releases his oar and decides to attack his opponent with all his might. To execute it, he places his arms in front of him and, while concentrating his cosmos, begins to move them to create a powerful vortex of energy. This vortex impacts the opponent directly and throws him several meters into the air, causing him great damage.

History.

This Spectre encounters Seiya and Shun as they arrive in the Underworld. When the Andromeda Saint refuses to take them, he offers his golden pendant in exchange. The Spectre accepts, but halfway across, he throws Seiya into the river. Pegasus manages to return to the boat and throws Charon with his meteors. The Spectre begs for mercy, telling them that the only way to reach the other shore is with their help, and Shun saves him. Betraying them, Charon throws Seiya into the river again and tries to do the same to Andromeda, but seeing Andromeda's noble gaze, he decides to surrender and take him and Seiya to the other side in exchange for Seiya fighting him later. Upon reaching the shore, Acheron fights Seiya and is defeated by the Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken.

Personality.

He is a Spectre with very unusual and unpredictable behavior. Unlike most Spectres who are hostile towards the Saints, Charon seems indifferent to war. He doesn't care that those he carries in his boat are Knights, prioritizing his task as a ferryman in hell. However, he doesn't hesitate to surprise attack his adversaries when they lower their guard. Charon can sometimes also be a man of honor, since after attacking Seiya, whom he helped back to his boat, he proposed a fair fight on the riverbank. He is particularly greedy; his avarice can even surpass his loyalty to his god. As greedy and deceitful as he may be, he is not a swindler. His services have a price, and he always keeps his word after the demanded payment. He is a joker by nature and believes he has a talent for singing, despite having a terribly out-of-tune voice, and he only hums some melodies invented in his own head.

Appearance.

Charon is a Specter with a slender build and pale skin. He has dark, very short hair, and his face resembles that of a skeleton, the most notable feature being his peculiar dentition, consisting only of incisors, which makes his human appearance more than doubtful.
