Ptolemy of Sagitta

Ptolemy possesses a slim, athletic build, displaying well-defined muscles. His complexion is dark, and his face displays ordinary, unassuming features. His eyes are black, and his long hair is light in color. When he first encounters Saori and the Bronze Saints, Ptolemy is wrapped in a hooded robe that completely covers his body. This garment completely conceals his Sagitta Cloth, as he is prepared to attack whenever he gets the chance.

He is portrayed as a serious young man dedicated to his mission, willing to face any danger that may arise. This characterization is demonstrated when, following the Pope's orders, he confronts the Bronze Saints and Saori. Although this mission costs him his life, he achieves his objective by shooting Saori in the chest with an arrow using his Phantom Arrow. Another notable characteristic of the character is his great cunning and patience. Ptolemy was able to disguise himself as a guide and go unnoticed by the Bronze Saints and Saori, waiting for the right moment to launch his attack. However, although he put Athena's life in grave danger, this does not mean he was a traitor. On the contrary, it can be said that he was a Saint loyal to Sanctuary and Athena who fell victim to the lies of the imposter Pope.

Saori, Tatsumi and the Bronze Saints board a plane to travel to the Sanctuary and challenge the Pope. Upon arriving there, the plane lands in the coliseum, and upon getting off the plane they are greeted by Ptolemy, dressed in a robe, who introduces himself to them as their guide and informs them that the Pope is waiting for Saori, to which she asks him if the Pope had read her letter and he affirms that he had, so he asks them to follow him, seeing this Seiya and Hyōga distrust him but so they all decide to follow him. So they continue on their way until they reach the stairs that lead to a temple. It is here where Ptolemy explains to them that this is the first temple and that the only way to reach the Pope's Chamber is by passing through the 12 Temples of the Sanctuary, warning them that each of the Temples is protected by one of the Gold Saints. Seiya then quickly deduces that to reach the Pope's Chamber they will have to defeat the 12 Gold Saints, to which the Pope replies that he is right and that he is as cunning as he expected, so he continues with his explanation describing each of the Temples they will have to cross and pointing out that no one since the time of myths has managed to cross the 12 Temples. After mentioning this, he quickly removes his robe while saying that he will not let them reach even the Temple of Aries.

Ptolemy takes advantage of the Bronze Saints' surprise to attack them with his Phantom Arrow, launching a shower of arrows at his opponents. However, the Bronze Saints quickly realize that it is an illusion. Therefore, Seiya attacks him with his Pegasus Ryūsei Ken; the countless blows launched by this technique shatter Ptolemy's armor and seriously injure him. After this, Seiya realizes that his opponent was not the guardian of the Temple of Aries. To which Ptolemy replies that he was sent by the Pope with the sole mission of ending Saori's life. Then, everyone turns their gaze towards Saori, seeing how an arrow has stuck in her chest. Seeing this, Tatsumi screams for a doctor, but Ptolemy tells them that it is useless, since only the Pope can extract that arrow and to do so they must cross the 12 Temples and reach the place where the Pope is in less than 12 hours. Otherwise, that arrow will end up stabbing into her heart, ending Saori's life. After saying this, she finally dies.

•Hunting Arrow Express: Ptolemy raises his left arm and points it at his opponent, and from the part of his armor located on his forearm a shower of countless arrows is fired, among which a mixture of illusory arrows and real poisoned arrows are fired, to deceive his target. •Power Spine Arrow: Ptolemy raises both arms and launches a burst of energy arrows that are illusions except for five that are difficult to locate due to the speed at which they spin around in a spiral. •Dark Spin Arrow: Ptolemy creates a black arrow of dark energy that is launched along with a shower of dark energy arrows that explode upon contact with the target. •Phantom Arrow: Ptolemy raises his right arm in the direction of his opponent and projects a shower of arrows towards him. These arrows are just an illusion created to confuse the senses or sight of his opponents. With this distraction, he manages to connect his attack against the opponent while he is confused.
