Persona Attributes

Appearance

Ikki is a young man with a rude and serious appearance. He has short blue hair, like his eyes, and a perpendicular scar that runs from his forehead to his nose, a result of having dodged the blow his former teacher threw at him and with which he ended up killing Esmeralda. His eyes are dark brown. His civilian attire consists of a sleeveless blue shirt with two diagonal stripes located parallel on the shoulders, crimson red pants, and brown shoes.

Personality

As a child, Ikki was known as a boy with a tough, rebellious, surly and very defiant temperament, personalities that he shows most frequently when it came to defending his younger brother. Ikki's personality is drastically different from his classmates, he is the opposite of his younger brother Shun who is calm, gentle, caring and very emotional, while Ikki is tough, cold, aggressive, and a very solitary person. They are a team of complementary styles. All of this is because Ikki was trained harshly and was instilled with the ideology that only hatred provides power, which seemed to have not influenced him much until he spared the life of his master Esmeralda, the only person he fell in love with during his six years of training on Death Queen Island died and his hatred that until then was locked inside him was released when his origin as the son of Mitsumasa was revealed to him, on whom he could not take revenge because he was already dead. This hateful attitude only persisted during the Black Saints' era; after that, he was merely a serious, solitary figure, and, although "aggressive," he no longer exuded such hatred. Despite his dislike of teamwork, he comes to fight whenever the Athena Saints need his help.

History.

Ikki, along with Hyōga, are the only Saints who knew their mothers, considering that he had to live with her until Shun's birth. After the birth of his younger brother and the death of his mother, Ikki carried Shun through the streets of Tokyo, until one night he has an encounter that marked his life when they were chased by a girl carrying a baby, but who was actually the soul of Hades, which took the form of a tiny solar system with a clear objective: to introduce the soul of the god of the underworld into the host that Hades chose on this occasion, which was Shun. Her name is Pandora, and she went to Japan with that objective. Ikki is not intimidated and resists Pandora's attacks as best he can and manages to defend Shun, although his memory of this incident was erased from his mind. Being an "orphan" he was taken in along with his younger brother Shun in the Graude Foundation orphanage, owned by Mitsumasa Kido. Where he would establish his first bonds of friendship with the other Saint candidates but always showing a serious and protective attitude towards his brother. Tatsumi was particularly bothered by his rebelliousness, which came to the surface when it came to his brother Shun and especially when his training place was decided, since Ikki decided to take Shun's place when he was sent to Death Queen Island, which Tatsumi did not tolerate and decided to punish Ikki for his insolence. And when he sent him to Death Queen Island, Tatsumi stirred him up by putting him on the ship more dead than alive.

History.

Ikki was trained on the Island of Queen Death, and his teacher was Guilty. There he met Esmeralda, his teacher's daughter, with whom he formed a friendship and eventually fell in love. After six years of grueling training, and the instillation of hatred as a source of power, Guilty challenges Ikki to combat, giving him one last chance to obtain the Phoenix Cloth. Ikki surpasses his teacher, but stops short of dealing a fatal blow, due to his devotion and respect for him. However, Guilty's frustration with his student's attitude causes him to throw a blow that was intended for Ikki, which he barely manages to dodge, leaving the scar on his face that would remain with him for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, the blow kills Esmeralda almost instantly. Enraged by the death of his only love, Ikki awakens hatred from the depths of his being and attacks his teacher without hesitation, finally ending his life. As Guilty lay dying, he instructed Ikki to reclaim the Phoenix Cloth, which was rightfully his, from the Black Saints who had taken it. So Ikki travels to Queen Death Island and battles the four Black Saints of Cygnus, Andromeda, Pegasus, and Dragon, whom he defeats. He then confronts Jango, the leader of the Black Saints, who was holding the Phoenix Cloth. Ikki defeats Jango and dons the Cloth for the first time, recognizing him as the Bronze Saint of Phoenix. It is at this moment that Virgo Shaka appears on the island and explains to Ikki that he has come to eliminate Jango due to the Black Saints' evil activities. However, he sneers at the fact that the task has already been performed by a rookie Bronze Saint. Ikki, enraged by this disdain, attacks him, but Shaka points out the difference in level between the two. Ikki, humiliated by the defeat, asks him to kill him, however, Shaka does not agree because he can see that in Ikki's eyes there is still kindness.

History.

Then, she erases all memories of this encounter from his memory and threatens him by telling him that if they meet again as enemies, she will make him remember the fear he felt before her power. After burying Esmeralda's body, the four most powerful Black Saints go in search of her and submit to her leadership, as do the other Black Saints on the island. Ikki accepts this situation and at this moment decides to begin the fight against the Graude Foundation and the Galactic Tournament to destroy Mitsumasa Kido's "creations". Since he cannot take direct revenge on him, Ikki decides to kill all of his brothers. As a first act of revenge, Ikki goes to the Graude Foundation Coliseum in Japan, where the Galactic Tournament is taking place, and secretly witnesses the first battles between the Bronze Saints. During the fight between his younger brother, Andromeda Shun and Unicorn Jabu, the Andromeda Chain senses his presence, so when he is discovered, he decides to execute his plans. Shun is thrilled to be reunited with his brother after six years, however the excitement of the reunion soon turns into a bitter nightmare when Ikki savagely attacks him and claims that his sole purpose of returning is to destroy the Graude Foundation. Although Jabu of Unicorn and Nachi of Wolf intervene, they are defeated by a single blow from Phoenix. Nachi is the first to be struck by Ikki's Phoenix Genma Ken, temporarily shattering his nerves due to the illusion. Ikki's Black Saints appear and steal the Sagittarius Cloth. Ikki decides to summon the four most powerful Black Saints (who possess exact replicas of the Pegasus Cloth, Dragon Cloth, Cygnus Cloth, and Andromeda Cloth respectively) and assigns them four parts of the Cloth in custody, keeping the headband for himself.

History.

Ikki sends a challenge to the Bronze Saints. The fight will take place on Mount Fuji (in the anime it is in the Cave of the Ten Winds Aokigahara) and everyone must wear a piece of the Gold Cloth. The winner of the fight would obtain all the pieces of the Gold Cloth. After defeating the Black Swan Saint, Hyōga is the first to face Ikki. The fight is evenly matched even Hyōga resists the Devil's Illusion, but the advantage leans in Ikki's favor, due to the foreknowledge of Hyōga's techniques provided by Black Swan, through his right eye. Hyōga is defeated, but in a last effort he manages to freeze Ikki's right arm. After their respective fights with their peers, Shiryū and Shun, they find Ikki. Shun does not want Shiryū to die at the hands of his brother, so he knocks him out and offers his life to Ikki, in exchange for him giving up the fight. However, Seiya and Hyoga have managed to recover and join the fight once again. Hyoga faces Ikki again, but this time he manages to return his Devilish Illusion, causing Ikki to begin seeing images of his past referring to his training on Queen Death's Island, the death of Esmeralda, the murder of his master, the confrontation with the four Black Saints, Jango, and Shaka of Virgo.

However, Ikki manages to recover and with a powerful attack, he knocks out his opponents, except for Seiya, who was protected by the newly assembled Sagittarius Cloth. This time, Seiya faces Ikki, aided by the Andromeda Chain, Shiryū's Shield and Hyoga's Diamond Dust, finally managing to defeat Phoenix.

History.

Ikki acknowledges his defeat and the error of his ways. He also reveals to Seiya the origin of the one hundred Foundation orphans and the paternity of Mitsumasa Kido. After learning the truth, Seiya takes pity on Ikki, but a landslide on Mount Fuji is caused by Misty and Mu must get the Black and Bronze Saints off the mountain, but Mu claims that he couldn't reach Ikki with his teleportation. Some time later, Ikki manages to return just in time to confront the second group of Silver Saints tasked with kidnapping Saori and saves her after Seiya has been badly wounded in his attempt to save her from Jamian, declaring that he still doesn't know if he will be his ally or his enemy. Jamian was still following Saori, and Ikki confronts Jamian of Crow, whom he easily defeats, then faces the Capella duo of Auriga and Dante of Cerberus. Where Ikki fights against Capella and Dante, Ikki manages to get Capella to cut off his own hands with his disks by distracting him with his Phoenix Genma Ken. Ikki was about to face Algol of Perseus, admitting that his cosmos is stronger than that of his silver companions, but Dante recovers and attacks Ikki again, Shun stops him and faces Dante. Then Ikki leaves the place going to Kanon Island to regain strength.

History.

While resting inside the volcano on Kanon Island to heal his arm after Hyoga froze it in their confrontation, Ikki senses the start of the battle at the sanctuary and the trouble Shun was in against the Saint of Gemini, so to help him he attacks the mind of the Patriarch of the Sanctuary (Saga) with his cosmos, which interferes with the illusions created by him in the Gemini Temple, momentarily saving Shun. After helping, Ikki returns to his recovery. He appears just in time to save his brother, who had been defeated, as well as Seiya and Shiryū who were lying unconscious. The confrontation with Shaka is inevitable and Ikki is overcome by his immense power. During the battle, Shaka makes Ikki remember their old encounter on the Island of the Death Queen and Ikki feels again all the fear of that occasion. Ikki keeps attacking Shaka but his techniques have no effect, because although his power has increased, Shaka already knows how it works, even Ikki's Devil's Illusion has no effect and is reversed to Ikki. But just as Ikki's techniques do not work on Shaka, Shaka's techniques have not had any effect on Ikki either, so Shaka decides to prepare in a special way to face Ikki, Shaka opens his eyes and displays all his power through his maximum technique, Heaven's Treasure. Ikki loses his 5 senses one by one and when Shaka was going to stop his heart, Shun stops him, but Ikki speaks mentally with him and tells him to let Shaka continue, Shaka again prepares to stop Ikki's heart, but Ikki blocks it with his sixth sense so Shaka also deprives him of this sense.

History.

Ikki questions Shaka on why having almost divine power he decides to serve the evil Pope, but Shaka replies that being a Saint of Athena does not limit him to fight for good or evil, but just as he perceived goodness in his heart on the island of Queen Death, he perceives goodness in the heart of the patriarch. Now that Ikki has no sense left, Shaka was about to stop his heart, but what Shaka did not count on is that he has fallen right into Ikki's trap and the miracle happens, now that Ikki only relies on his 7th sense, his cosmos burns to the maximum which completely covers the temple, Shaka himself goes so far as to say that Ikki's cosmos already exceeds his power, despite being himself (Shaka), a Gold Saint. While this effect happens, Ikki rushes to take Shaka by the back and set his cosmos burning to such an extent that they both explode. Shaka tells Ikki what good is a victory in which he is going to lose his life, but Ikki replies that that is the only way to beat someone with Shaka's power. And so Shaka is defeated and the Bronze Saints are able to continue, with Ikki's apparent sacrifice. Shaka and Ikki survive the explosion, but they have fallen into a dimension where time and space are distorted, from which Shaka could easily return alone, however, in his eagerness to save Ikki, he requests help from Mu of Aries. Back at the Virgo temple, Shaka encourages Ikki to continue his fight against the Pope, but the Phoenix Cloth has disappeared, Shaka takes a handful of its ashes and manages to bring the Phoenix Cloth back to life.

History.

On his way to the Patriarch's chamber, Ikki encounters the dying Shiryū, Hyōga, and Shun in the sanctuary's last temples, who encourage him to keep going. Ikki moves on, having to leave his brothers behind, but he thanks the universe for having been able to be born as brothers and meet them in this era, because together they have lived through important things. He arrives just as Saga, the Patriarch, was preparing to finish off Seiya. Ikki now faces Saga instead of Seiya. Saga and Ikki face each other with their mental techniques, the Phoenix Genma Ken and the Genrōmaōken, but the fight ends in a draw, as Ikki obeyed Saga's first order and the rest was an illusion of the Phoenix against him. Saga continues the fight against Ikki, who easily returns from his Other Dimension, so to finish him off, Saga collapses the Patriarch's chamber, leaving Ikki buried in the rubble. Due to the tie, Saga decides to use his ultimate technique, the Galaxy Burst, managing to leave Ikki quite badly injured and his cosmos rumble throughout the sanctuary, but Ikki is not dead yet and with his last strength he protects Seiya from a second Galaxy Burst, which this time leaves nothing but dust of Ikki's existence. Ikki reappears after being pulverized by Saga's galaxy burst in the Antarctic Ocean Pillar only after the Bronze Saints have fallen at the hands of Kasa of Lyumnades, the fearsome heart hunter.

History.

Ikki appears beating up Kasa for playing with his brothers' feelings, and although Kasa defends himself, Ikki manages to easily stop Kasa's Salamander Shock and counterattacks him with his Phoenix Genma Ken, taking Kasa's appearance so that he cannot attack himself. Kasa in fact manages to survive the Hō Yoku Tenshō and takes the form of Shun to try to kill Ikki, but Ikki knows that the real Shun is at his feet and pierces Kasa's chest. Kasa falls dying, but wants to know what Ikki's true weakness is, since the image of his brother was not enough to make him fall. So, investigating Ikki's mind and heart, Kasa manages to find the memory of Esmeralda, the girl who was his love on the Island of the Death Queen. Since he would only give his life to her, it seems Kasa really managed to project that illusion into Ikki's mind, as he accepts that he would only die for Esmeralda, but that her memory is what gives him strength. Finally, Ikki destroys the Pillar. Ikki now heads to the Temple of Poseidon, to directly end the source of the threat, but is intercepted by General Sea Dragon, who emanates a cosmos all too familiar to Ikki and even attacks him with the Galaxian Explosion, after which the general reveals himself to be Saga's twin brother of Gemini. But Kanon does not plan to make Saga's mistakes and instead of exerting himself by causing harm to Ikki, she sends him to another dimension through the Golden Triangle to prevent him from recovering and re-emerging as a Phoenix.

Ikki manages to return from the Golden Triangle with Athena's help to confront Kanon at the North Atlantic Ocean Pillar and arrives just as Kanon was discussing her personal plans for Poseidon. Immediately, Ikki attacks Kanon with his Devil's Illusion to make her reveal her true intentions, and that is how Ikki learns about her relationship with Saga, her confinement at Cape Sounion, and Poseidon's awakening. Once he gets the truth out of Kanon, Kiki and Sorrento arrive to help Ikki bring down the pillar. After which Ikki receives a beating, as Kanon's plans are falling apart, since Emperor Poseidon is slowly awakening in the battle taking place at his temple, but Ikki still does not have the information he needs: how to seal Poseidon back into Athena's vessel. And as soon as Kanon tells him the location of the vessel Ikki withdraws to help in the battle, saying that it is not even worth it to continue fighting with Kanon. Ikki arrives at the temple of Poseidon to join the battle, and arrives just in time to help his friends to destroy the Central Pillar, where he traps the sea god from behind, allowing Seiya (dressed in the Cloth of Sagittarius) where he helps Seiya with his cosmos to cross the Pillar and Athena to enclose the soul of Poseidon, to finally be taken by Athena with his companions to the surface.

History

A year later Ikki makes an appearance to confront Shiryū, telling him that the Bronze Saints have no place for them, but Shiryū confronts him by telling him that his duty is to protect Athena, after which Ikki tells him that he has seen "another deluded" (Seiya) in the coliseum. Then, Ikki watches Seiya and Shiryū from afar, while he feels Shun's cosmos who has also arrived to the battle in the sanctuary. In the fifth prison of hell: Ikki appears to help Kanon who was having problems facing the 3 judges and being subdued by the cosmic puppet of Minos. But at the moment, Kanon tells him that his brother has become the King of the Underworld, Hades, and that now Pandora is taking care of him. But the name of Pandora alone makes him remember that he had known her for a long time, in a blurred memory of his childhood. Ikki is thoughtful, so Aiacos of Garuda takes the opportunity to attack him, and Ikki begins to cry, saying that Shun is such a noble person that once again he is willing to sacrifice his life to save others. Now Ikki focuses on the battle against Aiacos. Ikki receives Garuda's Flutter Strike once and the second time he manages to counterattack Aiacos, since he is like a Phoenix who always rises. But in Guidecca, Hades and Pandora manage to feel Ikki's aggressive cosmos in their fight, which makes Hades feel nostalgic so he asks Pandora to bring him to her presence. Since Ikki has been a good rival, Aiacos decides to use his maximum technique, the Galactic Illusion, which leaves Ikki badly injured, but Ikki gets up again and attacks Aiacos with his Gōka Danzai, with which the judge's fate is sealed and Ikki manages to defeat him. Just after defeating Aiacos, Pandora transports Ikki into the presence of Hades.

History.

Ikki is shocked to see his little brother turned into the god of the underworld, so Pandora returns Ikki's erased memories, and Ikki remembers that it is true, that since Shun was born he was already under Hades's sights. But Ikki is insistent and breaks Hades' pendant, pretending that Hades left his brother's body. Pandora attacks Ikki several times, who shows no respect for the God, but Hades tells Pandora that his encounter with Ikki is not over yet. Ikki is the first person to whom Hades reveals his plan to turn the world into one of death and darkness through the Great Eclipse. Ikki continues to confront Hades, slapping Shun to make him react, but Hades tells him that this will only hurt his brother's body, and something happens, Shun's body begins to rebel against Hades' soul and grabs his neck, while Shun's spirit appears and asks Ikki to kill him. Ikki and Pandora are stunned, Ikki cries for Shun's fate, as the Saint of Andromeda his destiny is to sacrifice himself to save others. Ikki intended to hit Shun but fails, Ikki is unable to kill his brother and only wounds his fist to stop him. And so the opportunity is lost, Hades' soul takes control again, this time 100% and Shun's hair turns black as a sign, thus, Hades defeats Ikki and is sent by Valentine to Cocytos. The Wailing Wall: Ikki is saved from Cocytos by Pandora, who after all the events has reacted and realized that she has been used as an object by the gods. Pandora tells her about her and Hades' origins and Ikki understands how it was that she went to look for Shun when they were children.

History.

But Pandora has betrayed Hades so Thanatos will not allow her to live for long, with her last moments, Pandora grants Ikki her only privilege as Hades's sister, the necklace that allows her to be anywhere in the Underworld, even the super dimension. Ikki accepts and Pandora dies, so Ikki agrees to bear her hatred and suffering to avenge her. The last living specters attack Ikki and he defeats them, telling them that Hades' promises are false. Now that all the beads on Shaka's rosary have changed color, Ikki leaves for the Elysian Fields Elysian Fields: Ikki arrives in Elysion when Thanatos has already subdued the other [[Bronze Saints, then Ikki says that he is there to avenge all the victims of hell, but Thanatos is a god who feels no remorse for the deaths of humans and attacks Ikki (destroying Pandora's necklace). Ikki attacks Thanatos and manages to blow off his mask, but because of this, Thanatos accepts that he must use his personal technique, Terrible Providence, against Ikki. Thanatos attacks all the Saints, destroying the Bronze Cloths, and in the process, the Gold Cloths sent by Poseidon arrive to help the Bronze Saints. But it is useless, because Thanatos once again destroys the Cloths, this time the most powerful of the Saints. After awakening the God Cloth of Pegasus and defeating Thanatos, Seiya leaves for the Temple of Hades and the Saints stay to fight Hypnos. Ikki begins the fight but still does not have a Cloth, so Shun saves him by awakening his own God Cloth and allows Ikki to advance to help Seiya. Ikki arrives at the Temple of Hades to help Seiya and attacks the amphora in which Athena is, but his power returns to him, Ikki also tries to attack Hades' soul floating on a column but that attack also returns to him.

History.

Ikki understands that without a Cloth he will not be able to reach his full potential and the miracle happens, when his cosmos burns on the spilled blood of Athena impregnated in his fingers, she gives him the God Cloth of the Phoenix. Now Ikki is ready to continue the fight and goes with Seiya to attack Hades' body that lies in the mausoleum, but Hades rushes and takes control of his body, attacking Ikki with his sword. After all the Saints gather, they all attack Hades with all their might, but the battle drags on too long. After a hard battle, Athena covers them all in spheres that will take them to the world of the living, since now it is their turn to face Hades. In the end, Ikki sees Seiya's sacrifice and helps Athena with his cosmos to defeat Hades.

Techniques/Attacks.

•Hō Yoku Tenshō: Creates a vortex of fire in which Ikki and his victim are immersed and then projects a fire Phoenix from his hands that continues through the tunnel until it hits the victim, causing them to receive damage from the vortex. •Phoenix Genma Ken: This is one of Ikki's most efficient and effective techniques. This technique can shape its effects in various ways, generally torturing the victim with their worst fears, anxieties, or anxieties, producing terrifying and surreal nightmares almost indistinguishable from reality, forcibly showing them abominable illusions or hallucinations created directly in the victim's own brain. •Gouka Danzai: By concentrating his cosmos of fire in his right hand, he draws flames from the depths of the earth, invading cosmos and minds, incinerating them until nothing remains. •Hoo Hakunetsu Hane: This technique involves creating a "circle of flames" on the opponent's ground. If the enemy doesn't leave the area, they will remain trapped in the flames. When the user raises their right arm, the flames begin to engulf the enemy until they cause a violent explosion that sends the victim flying and kills them. •Hougoku Renou: Ikki concentrates his fire cosmos in his right hand to launch a flare of fire creating a large explosion against the opponent. •Gōka Senpū: Concentrating his fire cosmos in his right hand draws flames from deep within the earth, restricting the opponent's freedom of movement and burning them completely. •Phoenix Kaihô: Ikki raises his right arm and extends it to concentrate his lightning cosmos, closing his fist, then launches himself and again opens his hand against the opponent, launching a powerful call in the shape of a Phoenix. •Advent Fire: Ikki falls towards the opponent with his right arm concentrating his cosmos of fire, closing his fist that manages to raise the temperature to a maximum point that launches a powerful flame in the shape of the Phoenix.
