Jabu of Unicorn

Jabu is a young man with light brown skin, dark hair, and black eyes. However, his hair is a dark blond. The character's most characteristic outfit consists of gauntlets along with a sleeveless purple shirt.

As a child, Jabu claims to be grateful to the Kido family for taking him in from the orphanage, and for this reason, he allows Saori to treat him in the worst possible way, always remaining very respectful towards her and Mr. Mitsumasa. For this reason, the other children called him a lapdog. However, such submission was not his natural personality, as he is quite confrontational with his classmates. This helped Jabu grow stronger over time, inspired by Saori even as he endured all her ordeals. After obtaining the Unicorn Cloth, Jabu continues to maintain his respect for Saori and the late Kido Mitsumasa, now presenting himself almost as her good bodyguard. He is even still confrontational with his classmates, showing great confidence in his strength and becoming quite conceited. After his fight against Shun, interrupted by the arrival of Ikki, and being easily defeated by him, he decides to return to his training ground. Upon returning, he appears more focused, no longer as impulsive, knowing when he should or should not fight. He even seems to have put his personal differences with Seiya behind him, as he now sees only the common good of his mission as a Saint, always turning to his friends for help. Later, he doesn't try to show off to Saori for her admiration, but instead fights for her as her goddess.

As a child, he lived with his half-siblings in the Graude Foundation orphanage, beginning his training before being sent to become a Saint. He used to obey all of Saori's orders, even allowing her to beat him while serving as her horse. This issue led him to some arguments with Seiya because he disagreed with this attitude. In the drawing to decide the training places for the orphans, Jabu's result was to travel to Oran, Algeria, to obtain the Unicorn Cloth. His type of training and his master are unknown. He appears at the Kido mansion in the middle of a press interview with Saori by a group of reporters, where he stops the newcomer Seiya, who is unhappy with the false promise that he would see his sister again. Jabu breaks the straps of the Pegasus Cloth Box, which provokes Seiya, who responds in kind, displaying a speed that leaves Jabu stunned. During the fight, the reporters are impressed by the superhuman abilities of the Saints they will see participating in the wrestling competition. In the tournament, he is the second to fight. His opponent was Ban of Lionet, who is easily knocked out in the blink of an eye. The superiority of the Saint of Unicorn is such that his opponent's Cloth ends up shattered. Upon leaving the ring, he boasts to Seiya as possible future rivals. In his second fight, he must face Shun of Andromeda, but this time he can do nothing against his adversary.

Once the Andromeda Chains are spread across the arena floor, Jabu can no longer approach his enemy, as each time he tries, he is strongly repelled. The Unicorn attempts to overcome this barrier and enter from above with a great leap, but ends up discovering that this is the place where the chains attack the most, so he ends up severely damaged and with his Unicorn Cloth in serious condition. When the Andromeda Chain detects the arrival of Phoenix Ikki in the Cloth of Gold urn, Jabu takes them in his hands, thinking he would gain the advantage that way, but receives a 10,000-volt shock, forcing him to immediately release them. Once the Phoenix appears and descends into the battle arena, it attacks the Unicorn, who believes he has avoided the blow, but is nevertheless hit in his right shoulder, ending up unconscious on the ground. When Hyoga of Cygnus is fighting against Milo of Scorpio in the Temple of the Celestial Scorpion while Seiya, Shiryu and Shun advance further ahead, Jabu returns from his training with the other Bronze Saints to help Tatsumi fight against the Sanctuary soldiers and to take care of Saori, who was injured at the entrance of the Twelve Temples because of the golden arrow fired by Ptolemy of Sagitta. When his companions are ready to go to the temples to fight too, Jabu tells them that it is better to forget about that, since their capabilities are far inferior to those of Seiya and company, so they would end up being just a hindrance. In the end, only in the anime, he helps Shun climb the last stairs of the sanctuary and witnesses Saga's suicide in front of Athena. He is in charge of guarding the Sanctuary, where he ends up saving Nachi and Ichi by killing some unknown resurrected servants who were trying to enter the place. Jabu is the only one who managed to hit them and finish them off.

When the enemies disappeared, they were surprised, thinking they had just witnessed real ghosts. Later, some open tombs of deceased Saints are discovered and he helps Shaina burn the remaining ones. Later, along with Nachi, Ichi and Shaina, he intervenes before Hyōga to keep Saori's word that the group of five Bronze Saints protagonists should not enter the Sanctuary. After the battle at the Twelve Temples, Jabu continues his role as guard of the Sanctuary with Shaina and the other Bronze Saints, until Marin and Kiki take Seika to the sanctuary. Finally, he is injured after protecting Seiya's sister with his body, at the moment when Thanatos, God of Death, tried to kill her to continue tormenting her older brother. Jabu positions himself at the center of the defense group.
