For weeks now, Jungkook had been living nonstop: pickles at two in the morning, tears over pet food commercials, demands to immediately rearrange the living room furniture. Taehyung swung from euphoria to hysteria with alarming speed, and Jungkook felt his nerves fraying.

"We're going to the seaside," he announced last night, watching Taehyung cry over overcooked toast. "I've decided."

Taehyung looked up at him, ready to burst into another storm, but Jungkook insistently sat him in the car, covered him with a blanket, and thrust into his hands the pillow that the pregnant man carried with him everywhere.

The journey was long. Taehyung remained silent, pouting, but Jungkook only tightened his grip on the center armrest.

When the blue light appeared through the windows, Taehyung stared. Jungkook turned off the engine, got out of the car, and opened the passenger door.

"Why did you bring me here?" Taehyung asked quietly, biting his lip to keep from crying again.

He exhaled, allowing Jungkook to help him out of the car. Stepping barefoot onto the cool sand, he felt the weight lift from his shoulders. Jungkook hugged him from behind, placing his palms on his rounded belly, and whispered,

"Because you've driven everyone within our radius crazy. But we're both tired. Look, Tae. No pickles, no rearrangements. Just you, me, and our baby."
