Taehyung sits on the fluffy carpet, his legs tucked under him, quietly humming a morning college hit. Nearby, his nose buried in his thigh, his old dog, who usually keeps his distance, dozes. A cheeky red-haired dog perches on his shoulder, methodically kneading his sweatshirt with his paws.

This place is his refuge. At 19, studying is exhausting, but every evening he happily rushes here to drown in purring happiness.

The idyll lasted until the door opened.

Taehyung raised his head and froze. An alpha male stood in the doorway. Enormous. His broad shoulders filled the entire space, his black T-shirt clung to his defined muscles, and his eyes—charcoal, deep—stared straight at him.

Taehyung was confused for a moment, but quickly smiled his sunny smile and, standing up with the kitten in his arms, approached the guest.

"Hello!" the voice rang like a bell. "Is this your first time here? Can I help you with something?"

The man smelled of expensive perfume, metal and endless fatigue.

Jungkook looked down at him. His voice was low, hoarse, and vibrant.

— I need a kitten. Snow-white. Affectionate.

Taehyung blinked. Such a powerful alpha—and he wants a soft lump? That was unexpected.

"Oh... of course!" He led the guest to the beds. "We have one little one. We just recently found him. Affectionate, but shy..."

He stopped by a pink bed where a snow-white lump of fur was sleeping. The kitten was perfect: clean, fluffy, with blue eyes and a pink nose.

"There he is," Taehyung whispered. "White as snow. We call him Snowball."

Jungkook was silent. He looked at the kitten, but his gaze lingered on Taehyung's fingers stroking its fur. The alpha slowly crouched down and extended his hand...

But Snowball opened his eyes, glanced at the stranger's hand, and with a slight hiss, he burrowed deeper into Taehyung's palm, hiding his muzzle in the crook of his elbow.

Taehyung blinked in confusion.
