Soft snowflakes drifted from the gray winter sky, blanketing Monster Island in a thick layer of sparkling white. Godzilla adjusted the Santa hat perched awkwardly on his head as he gazed across the frozen landscape.
Godzilla: “Looks like we’re snowed in.”
Minilla squealed with excitement, already rolling himself into a giant snowball before crashing into Baragon.
Baragon: “H-Hey! Watch where you’re rolling!”
Mothra Larva happily wiggled through the snow, leaving tiny trails behind her while Rodan swooped overhead.
Rodan: “Last one to the mountain is a frozen lizard!”
Anguirus: “You’re on!”
The two raced off, kicking up powdery snow.
Nearby, Kong quietly sculpted a massive snow gorilla while humming to himself.
Kong: “Not bad… needs bigger arms.”
Then came the familiar sound of bickering.
Ni: “Kevin! Stop eating the snow!”
Kevin: “But it’s crunchy…”
Ichi: “It’s frozen water, Kevin.”
Kevin: “…Oh.”
A moment later, Kevin stuck all three faces into a snowbank.
Kevin: “Still crunchy!”
Ni: “You’re impossible!”
Ichi: sighs “Every winter…”
Godzilla couldn’t help but chuckle.
Godzilla: “As long as nobody starts a snowball war.”
A snowball smacked him squarely in the face.
(Silence.)
Everyone slowly turned toward Minilla, who was trying very hard to look innocent while hiding another snowball behind his back.
Minilla: “…Run?”
Within seconds, Monster Island erupted into laughter as snowballs flew in every direction, turning the peaceful snowy afternoon into the biggest snowball fight the island had ever seen.
