Will Byers

Will, El, and Mike were skating at Rink-o-Mania. Will was so sad and hurt to see Mike devoting all his time to El. Yes, she was his girlfriend, and yes, they hadn't seen each other in a while, but... Damn it, it was Will's birthday today! Couldn't he at least remember that?!

"Hey, Will!" El waved, her hand becoming like a little sister to Will over the course of the year. "Why are you so sad? Cheer up!"

Will just chuckled softly. Seriously? Oh, the heavens were being incredibly "kind" to him today. Will knew perfectly well that El was lying to Mike, her boyfriend, about finding friends here, and that made it even more painful. Mike hadn't written him a single letter... Hadn't even called. Why would he be happy now?
