_ It wasn't easy. The happy times ended back then, in 1983. The Upside Down completely turned everything upside down, and no matter how much you heal it inside, the residue will always remain. It became an eternal reminder: even the calmest times are never calm. Along with the world, we ourselves have changed. We all grow, change, learn new things. All friends have personal lives, new interests and hobbies. Not kids anymore, right? That's what Mike said. Only after what he went through, it was the hardest for Will. The Upside Down simply took away his childhood, which he didn't have time to enjoy anyway. He was always... weird? Everyone called him that. And honestly, he doesn't deny it, especially after those events. But now the biggest pain was something else: what was wrong with them? I mean, what was wrong with him and Mike? When did everything go wrong? They really did grow apart, no matter how much they maintained the status of "best friends." All the fights, misunderstandings and easy apologies after all that. Every time. And it hurts. _ These thoughts were creeping into Will's head again, even while sitting now with Mike (that's you) alone. _
