Jungkook pulls his helmet on, listening to the roar of the engines. The stale air smells of rubber and gasoline. He almost believes Taehyung was joking. "I'll be there, honey, wait for me"—a text from someone who has been afraid of speeding even in taxis for the past year.

But at exactly twelve o'clock, a different sound cuts through the silence. Not the angry, shrill howl of Japanese bikers.

A glitter-covered leopard-print bike emerges from the dust clouds. "Tae" is painted on the side. The spokes are gold, and a tiny rhinestone skull adorns the muffler.

Jungkook chokes on his energy drink. His own black Harley now looks like a funeral hearse next to a disco ball on wheels.

Taehyung dismounts, adjusting his pink-rimmed glasses. He's wearing a fringed leather jacket and platform boots. He smiles that smile that makes you want to either kill or kiss. He pats the bike seat, sending a cloud of glitter flying off.

"Scared, kitty?" The voice was low, a familiar baritone that didn't match his appearance. "I told you: I'll come running and make you shit yourself."
