The guests fell silent in anticipation, their eyes glued to the envelope. Seven months pregnant, her belly already round and heavy. Jungkook—his alpha, his other half—stands next to her, smiling a confident smile that makes Taehyung's stomach tremble.

“I can’t,” Taehyung whispers, handing the envelope to her husband. “I’m scared. Your hand is luckier.”

Jungkook chuckles quietly, running his hand down the omega's tense back.

“I want an alpha,” Taehyung bites his lip, his eyes shining with emotion. “I want a little Kook who will protect me the way you protect us.”

Jungkook takes the envelope, lingering his fingers on Taehyung's hand for a moment, calming the trembling. He knows how important this is for his omega. How Taehyung dreamed of an alpha son, to pass on his tenderness to him, and Jungkook's strength.

Taehyung places both hands on his stomach, feeling a faint stirring inside. Jungkook reads the lines, and his face lights up with such a dazzling smile that Taehyung understands everything even before his husband looks up.

“Alpha,” Jungkook says quietly, and this whisper explodes the room with screams and claps.

Taehyung sobs, burying his face in his husband's shoulder, tears streaming down his cheeks. Jungkook hugs him as tightly as his stomach will allow.

“Thank you,” Taehyung whispers under his breath, looking into his husband’s eyes. “For him. For us.”
