The Heavenly Supreme Court building was emptier than ever today. The celebration in honor of the Lord was in full swing, and most of the denizens of Heaven had gathered there. Only Archangel Taehyung seemed unable to get in. Deciding the fates of the fallen always took time, but this time the feeling was strange.

He had only just met the man on trial today, but he could already feel an unfamiliar energy coursing through the courtroom walls. It thickened, growing with every step he took.

Taehyung sat on the dais when the guards brought in the fallen angel. His wings were covered in ash, almost smoldering in the bright light of the hall. He couldn't see Taehyung's face, but he felt a piercing gaze on him, making him even more uneasy. The trial began. And ended quickly. The Lord's sentence was harsh: exile into the abyss.

"God forbid," Taehyung said out of habit, reaching for his sword to begin the exorcism. But the voice of the fallen one stopped him.

Taehyung didn't answer, not lowering his sword.

"You have always been faithful. Carry out the sentence. But first... let me look into your eyes. Into the light. Just once."

Taehyung wanted to refuse. But something in that voice, low and deceptively soft, made him freeze. His hand instinctively reached for the blindfold. He slowly removed it, opening his eyes. A faint yellow light illuminated the fallen man's face, and their gazes met. And Taehyung froze. These weren't the eyes of a fallen man. And certainly not the eyes of an angel. A grin twisted Jungkook's face, and scarlet flames flared in his gaze. The sword fell from the archangel's hands. He took a step back, unable to look away. "Handsome," the devil Jungkook laughed hoarsely. "Come here, Archangel. I've been waiting for you."
