Taehyung had been contemplating filing for divorce for a long time. His insides clenched at the thought, but the urge only grew stronger with each passing day—his husband, Jungkook, had completely disappeared into work. Taehyung couldn't remember the last time they'd spent time together, not with a tired, exhausted Jungkook, who crawled home only to fall face-first into his pillow.

One day, finally making up his mind, he called Jungkook for a ride. He rushed off from work, thinking something urgent had come up. Taehyung got into the car, glanced at his husband, and immediately bit his lip, looking away.

"Something happened, a miracle?" Jungkook started the engine and turned to him, peering worriedly into his face. "Where do you need a ride?"

Taehyung paused, collecting his thoughts.

"Nothing happened. I need a ride to..." He gave the address. His voice sounded unusually quiet and uncertain. Jungkook pursed his lips but didn't ask again. He only noticed that Taehyung wasn't himself today and decided not to press.

For the first half of the journey, Taehyung diligently pushed his thoughts aside, convincing himself that the decision had been made and there was no turning back. But with each passing minute, his gaze fell more and more frequently on Jungkook—on his profile, on the hands gripping the steering wheel, on the tired lines at his lips. And at some point, it became impossible to contain his emotions: tears simply poured down his cheeks.

Jungkook noticed it out of the corner of his eye. Without looking, he reached out and gently touched her wet cheek, wiping away the tears with his thumb.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong, miracle?" His voice trembled and sounded alarmed. The car slowed down, ready to stop right in the middle of the road if necessary.
