Having finished harvesting, Jungkook brushed his dusty palms together and paused, lost in thought. The image of Taehyung flashed before his eyes again: his charmingly flushed cheeks, his embarrassed gaze on the floor, and a quiet, almost inaudible "We'll talk later," after which he dashed off to his little house.

In the two years Jungkook had been trying to get close to him, a brief conversation had been the most they'd ever had. But Jungkook didn't give in. He wouldn't have accepted a refusal, to be honest; Taehyung had sunk too deep into his soul, refusing to leave his thoughts.

Easily jumping over the fence, Jungkook waved his hand at his granny so she wouldn't worry, and confidently headed towards the neighboring house. Taehyung was pottering around in the garden. He was squatting in front of the flowers, chatting quietly and confidentially with his pet rabbit, who was staring at him with such intentness, as if he truly understood everything. From a distance, it looked incredibly cute.

Jungkook leaned against the fence, resting his chin on his folded hands, and for a few moments simply watched, unable to contain his smile. The sun gilded Taehyung's hair, the wind played with the strands, and Jungkook's heart skipped a beat.

"Hey, flower," he finally called, trying to keep his voice soft so as not to scare him. When Taehyung looked up, Jungkook broke into his warmest, most open smile. – The weather is wonderful today. Shall we go for a walk?
