The bamboo forest rustled. Jungkook stopped, listening to the night. A roar broke the silence. Jungkook only managed to turn his head before the omega knocked him off his feet. They collapsed to the ground.

Taehyung. A werepanda. His black and white ears, soft and round, were pressed against his head. His eyes, usually warm as tea, danced with animalistic need. He sank his teeth into Jungkook's muscular shoulder, piercing his hanfu.

The pain was sharp and brief. But something else followed. Jungkook felt his own scent—the clean, sharp aroma of young bamboo—intensify through the punctured skin, mingling with the wild honey and pollen emanating from Taehyung.

Taehyung froze. His jaw unclenched. His entire body, a second ago as rigid as a bow under tension, suddenly went limp, feeling powerless and heavy. He gasped dully, no longer an animalistic sound but a stifled groan. His face buried itself in the alpha's neck, his nostrils greedily taking in the long-awaited scent. The loneliness that had been pent up in his bones for years dissolved in that aroma.

Jungkook sat up slowly, holding the omega's helpless body in his lap. He hugged him, feeling a slight shudder run down Taehyung's spine.

"Stupid panda," Jungkook said quietly, his lips almost touching the black ear. "If you wanted my scent, you just had to ask."
