Taehyung was collecting the sheet music scattered on the floor when Jungkook blocked the doorway again.

“We need to talk,” Jungkook’s voice sounded muffled.

Taehyung nodded. His own scent—fresh, like rain and green tea—seemed to only irritate the alpha. Over the months they'd spent together, Taehyung had begun to understand Jungkook's moods a little, but now there was something new in his demeanor—an unfamiliar tension.

Jungkook stepped forward, forcing Taehyung to retreat. He touched his temple, running his finger along his jawline.

"Taehyung," the alpha said, as if the words were difficult for him. "I can't hold back anymore..."

The omega blinked in confusion. He saw a strange glint in Jungkook's eyes and felt his hands tremble. He thought he was doing something wrong, something that was disappointing him.

"Are... are you angry?" he asked quietly.

Jungkook made a sound somewhere between a laugh and a groan. He leaned down, pressing his forehead against his shoulder. His breath was hot even through the fabric of his shirt.

He took Taehyung's hand and pressed it to his chest, where his heart was beating wildly. Then he moved it lower, to the belt on his jeans, to that very bulge the omega so diligently avoided noticing.
