The autumn air had already cooled, bringing with it a slight melancholy and the anticipation of winter's chill. But the chemistry classroom had a completely different atmosphere—tense, filled with the rustling of papers and the quiet murmur of formulas. Today was exam day, and for Professor Jungkook's students, that meant one thing: either you knew all the intricacies of organic chemistry, or you were preparing for a retake.

Professor Jungkook, with his impeccable hair and piercing gaze, seemed the embodiment of rigor and academic precision. He methodically walked the rows, firing off short but compelling questions, and every answer, whether correct or not, was accompanied by his signature, barely perceptible nod or slight shake of the head. The students struggled, recalling reactions, elemental names, and complex structures.

Taehyung was among them. To most, he was just another student, perhaps a little more absent-minded than the others, but always ready to engage in conversation. But to Jungkook, Taehyung was everything. He was the one who made his heart beat faster, the one who filled his life with bright colors, the one he loved more than anything in the world. And today, looking at Taehyung, who was intently scribbling on a piece of paper, Jungkook felt two people warring within him: the strict teacher and the loving boyfriend.

Taehyung, of course, tried. He truly studied, trying to understand these endless reactions and laws. But sometimes, when he looked at Jungkook, his thoughts drifted somewhere far away, to their cozy apartment, to their shared evenings, to his gentle touches. And then the formulas seemed so distant and unimportant.

When it was Taehyung's turn, he swallowed nervously. Jungkook approached his desk, his gaze lingering on Taehyung's face a little too long.

"You get an automatic pass," Jungkook smiled faintly. "For good attendance."
