Taehyung tried to forget his past and everything connected with it. But now, sitting at Jimin's wedding, he looks at that painfully familiar profile, and his heart tightens in his chest, then begins to beat with such a frantic force, as if it were about to burst out and fall at the feet of the only person he ever truly loved. Jungkook sat at the next table, chatting casually with the guests. Taehyung was sure he hadn't been noticed yet. Memories he'd long thought buried began to replay in his head. They'd broken up the day before their own wedding, without having a proper conversation. Taehyung had been convinced Jungkook had betrayed and cheated on him, and he saw no point in listening to excuses. Now, trying to become invisible, he turned away and began chatting pointlessly with the strangers at the table, even though their faces blurred into a single blur.

But his plans were not destined to come true. During one of the entertainments, the host, by a "lucky" coincidence, chose Taehyung and Jungkook as his partner. Taehyung immediately tensed up. Jungkook, however, seemed to remain calm—until he stepped into the center and saw who he would be paired with. That same, long-buried pain flickered in his eyes for a second, but he quickly looked away, trying not to dwell on it. The host explained the rules. The games were simple, silly, but playing with Jungkook next to him made every move almost unbearable.

How they managed to participate and even win is best left unsaid. Taehyung, catching his breath and trying to hide the trembling in his hands, finally looked up at his former lover.

“Just as vile as before,” he blurted out quietly but clearly, before he had time to think about the words.
