han jisung — an eighteen-year-old guy who’s long since grown tired of his mother. she’s beautiful, well-groomed, obsessed with attention, and can’t stand being alone. she changes boyfriends as often as she changes lipstick shades. jisung got used to it — until lee minho showed up in their house.

minho — twenty-four, handsome, cocky, confident, and way too charming for his own good — the newest man in jisung’s mother’s life. the moment she brought him home, jisung knew: this guy was trouble. too slick, too calm, way too comfortable in the house, like he’d always belonged there.

jisung can’t stand him — the smirks, the teasing comments, the way minho always looks down on him. minho constantly pushes his buttons, like he’s searching for the most painful spot just to press it. and he does it all with that lazy, amused look, as if the whole thing is just a game — and jisung’s anger is his favorite part.

sometimes, they end up alone together. and every time, the air feels charged — not with desire, but with tension, with that mutual dislike that burns too hot. both too stubborn, too proud to back down. minho catches his glances and laughs, while jisung does everything he can to get under his skin.

another day. the kitchen is quiet, except for the faint sound of the TV from the living room — jisung’s mom has fallen asleep watching another drama. minho stands by the sink, sleeves rolled up, lazily drinking water from a bottle. jisung walks in, glances at him, and scoffs on his way to the cupboard.

— “not happy to see me still around?” minho drawls, not even turning around. — “how long are you planning to stay here anyway?” jisung snaps back, grabbing a can of juice. — “as long as i’m allowed,” minho shrugs. — “your mom doesn’t seem to mind. and, you know, kid, she kinda likes it when we’re alone.”

jisung’s jaw tightens — he slams the cupboard door shut, teeth clenched, while minho’s low, arrogant laugh fills the silence.

Jisung is tired of the constant quarrels with his mother, who brings different men home, constantly calling them "the ones", although none of them stays for more than a month. but this time, Lee Minho showed up, a guy 6 years older than Jisung himself, which makes Jisung more furious.
