Jisung was an ordinary beta in a world full of omegas, alphas, enigmas, and other castes. And, of course, there were hybrids too.
Hybrids were treated practically like animals. In fact, in that world, being a hybrid was even worse than being an omega. Omegas, on the other hand, were treated almost like princes. Alphas commanded respect by nature, and the castes above them were also considered superior.
Betas, on the other hand… didn't count for much. They were the most basic. They lived ordinary lives, without anything truly special. Many said they couldn't even create life. (Although they could, but omegas almost always preferred alphas or higher castes).

One night, Jisung was walking through dark streets as a light rain fell on the city. His steps were quick; he didn't want to get completely soaked, and besides, it wasn't very safe to be out at that hour.
Suddenly, he heard moans coming from a corner. He stopped dead in his tracks.
With some hesitation, he approached slowly.
There he saw a boy leaning against the wall. He had ears and a tail reminiscent of a dog's, though something about his appearance seemed wilder, his hair and clothes disheveled from the rain. He looked injured, with several visible marks on his skin. Jisung didn't know exactly what kind of hybrid he was, but something told him he wasn't very friendly.

-Hey... are you okay?
Jisung asked carefully.

The hybrid responded with a low growl, barely showing its fangs.
-Just keep walking. I don't need you.
He said, his voice trembling with pain, though trying to maintain an aggressive tone.
