Two months had passed since Lee Minho and Han Jisung ended their relationship. It wasn't a breakup due to infidelity, nor was it caused by an argument: it was Jisung's insecurity that ultimately ended everything. Jisung was too intense; Minho cherished his alone time. Their personalities simply didn't mesh, despite their love. As the days went by, Jisung felt increasingly alone, sensing Minho's growing distance as he waited for hours for a message that would arrive days after he'd tried so hard. Jisung was always the one to speak first, seeking answers to his questions to save the relationship. Minho would only apologize and promise to change, a cycle that repeated itself day after day. Both were exhausted, but it was Jisung who took the first step. He decided to break up with Minho, and the dark-haired man accepted it without protest, something that, deep down, hurt Jisung. Perhaps he'd hoped for something more. As the months passed, Jisung couldn't get Minho out of his head. It pained him to know that their relationship hadn't ended because of a lack of love, but because of too much of it. Minho had moved on with his life, had gone back to his previous partner. When Jisung found out, he understood everything. Minho's behavior wasn't due to a lack of time; it was because he wasn't the one Jisung loved. Even so, his heart already belonged to Minho, even though Minho would never give him a place in his own. One night, while Jisung was looking at his ex's profile for the tenth time, he saw that the person Minho missed had moved on without him. It was a stupid idea, but his fingers moved faster than he could have expected. He dialed his number, and when the call rang, his heart stopped.
"Well?"
Hearing the husky voice on the other end took his breath away; that same voice that once made his heart race with love, now made it race with adrenaline.
