🌀 Synopsis of Arcane

Set in the universe of the popular video game League of Legends, Arcane is an animated series that chronicles the origins of some of the game's most iconic champions, exploring the social, political, and emotional tensions that divide two sister cities: Piltover, a shining and thriving metropolis known as the "City of Progress," and Zaun, an oppressed and polluted underground district rife with poverty, crime, and resentment.

At the heart of this conflict are Vi and Powder (Jinx), two orphaned sisters struggling to survive in the slums of Zaun. When a robbery of Piltover's elite goes wrong, their lives are tragically torn apart. While Vi searches for justice and redemption, Powder descends into madness and chaos, taking on the identity of Jinx, an unpredictable and devastating criminal.

Meanwhile, inventors Jayce Talis and Viktor work in Piltover to master a magical technology called Hextech, capable of changing the world—or destroying it. As tensions rise between Piltover and Zaun, the line between heroes and villains becomes increasingly blurred, and everyone must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice for their vision of progress.

1. Vi (Violet)

Jinx's (Powder) older sister.

Former Zaun criminal becomes a champion of justice.

Brave, loyal, and protective, she acts as a sort of street hero.

2. Caitlyn Kiramman

Piltover Guard Enforcer.

From a noble family, but compassionate and with a strong moral sense.

She becomes Vi's close ally and companion.

3. Jayce Talis

Idealistic inventor of Piltover.

Create Hextech technology with Viktor.

He wants to use science to improve everyone's lives.

4. Viktor

Scientist of humble origins (from Zaun).

He seeks to cure his illness and create a better future through Hextech.

Although his path becomes more ambiguous, his intentions are noble.

5. Mel Medarda

Member of the Piltover Council.

Supports Jayce and promotes the use of Hextech for political and humanitarian purposes.

His vision seeks to unite progress with stability.

6. Heimerdinger

Yordle advisor and scientist, mentor to Jayce and Viktor.

Peaceful, wise and prudent.

Try to prevent technology from becoming a weapon.

7. The Piltover Council (neutral members)

Although many have personal interests, some show genuine concern for maintaining peace and prosperity.

🕯️ From Zaun (The Underground Suburbs)

8. Vander

Father figure to Vi and Powder.

Former Zaun rebel seeking to maintain peace with Piltover.

Protector of the people and moral leader of the oppressed.

9. Ekko

Orphan boy from Zaun and friend of Vi and Powder.

He becomes the leader of “The Firelights,” a rebel group seeking to restore Zaun without violence or drugs.

Ingenious, brave and hopeful.

10. Claggor

Loyal friend of Vi's group.

Intelligent, strong and kind.

11. Mylo

Another member of Vi's group.

Sarcastic but with a good heart.

He dies protecting his friends.

12. Sevika (partially)

Although he works with Silco, he occasionally demonstrates loyalty and respect for Zaun's ties.

⚫ Main Villains

1. Silco

Vander's former comrade in the Zaun Rebellion.

After being betrayed, he becomes the most powerful crime lord in the Suburb.

Ambitious, manipulative, and charismatic, he seeks to free Zaun from Piltover's control, no matter the cost.

Father figure to Jinx, whom she adopts and molds as her successor.

2. Jinx (Powder)

Vi's younger sister.

After the traumas of her childhood and the influence of Silco, she transforms into the unpredictable criminal known as Jinx.

He suffers from mental instability and a desperate need for love and approval.

Although she has a tragic past, she becomes a dangerous and destructive villain.

3. Singed

Scientist from Zaun who experiments with living substances and organisms.

Creator of the Shimmer, a drug that grants superhuman strength but destroys the body and mind.

Cold, calculating and unscrupulous, he works in the shadows.

Possibly responsible for Viktor's future fate and the emergence of other champions.

🧪 Zaun's Henchmen and Criminals

4. Sevika

Silco's right hand.

Strong, pragmatic and loyal to the cause of Zaun (more than to Silco itself).

Although she is not evil for pleasure, she acts brutally and without remorse.

5. Finn

One of Zaun's criminal leaders who attempts to overthrow Silco.

Ambitious and treacherous, driven only by power.

6. Renni and the other bosses of Zaun

Minor members of the underworld, involved in Shimmer trafficking and murder.

7. The Shimmer Soldiers

Mutated warriors created with the drug.

Completely unstable and controlled by Silco or Singed.

⚙️ Piltover Antagonists

8. Marcus Officer of the Piltover Guard. Although he initially tries to do good, he becomes corrupted by accepting bribes from Silco.

9. Some members of the Piltover Council

Especially those who prioritize power, politics or wealth over public welfare.

🌆 PILTOVER — “The City of Progress”

A prosperous, clean, and technological metropolis, a symbol of scientific advancement and civilization. It is the birthplace of Hextech, the magical technology that changes the fate of the world.

1. The Piltover Council (The Council Chamber)

Government headquarters where councilors—including Heimerdinger, Mel, and Jayce—make policy decisions.

Place of debates, alliances and conflicts over the use of Hextech.

2. Piltover Academy (The Academy)

Center for scientific and technological innovation.

Where Jayce and Viktor develop Hextech technology.

It is also where Heimerdinger teaches young inventors.

3. Jayce and Viktor's Lab

Key place for the birth of Hextech.

The experiments that changed the course of Piltover and Zaun were carried out here.

4. Kiramman Mansion

Home of Caitlyn and her noble family.

It represents the luxury and inequality of Piltover's upper class.

5. Hextech Tower (or Talis Tower)

Built by Jayce as a symbol of Piltover's power and advancement.

It contains the core of Hextech and becomes an icon of the city.

6. Streets and Markets of Piltover

Spaces full of life, art and commerce.

In contrast to the poverty of Zaun, they show the superficial shine of progress.

🌌 ZAUN — “The Underground City”

A dark, polluted, and rebellious world beneath Piltover. Here dwell the outcasts, the orphans, and the oppressed. Despite its decay, it is filled with ingenuity and a spirit of survival.

7. The Lanes (The Slums / The Lanes)

Main area where Vi, Powder, Vander and their friends live.

Industrial ruins converted into makeshift homes.

8. The Last Drop Bar

Vander's property.

Meeting point for the inhabitants of Zaun and a center of peaceful resistance.

9. The Singed Lab

Hidden place where the scientist performs his cruel experiments.

Birthplace of the Shimmer, the drug that grants superhuman strength.
