Synopsis

In the year 2077, humanity has reached a dazzling technological… and morally decadent level. Megacorporations dominate the world, the streets are infested with violence, and the human body has become a commodity, molded by cybernetic implants and data chips. Amidst the urban chaos rises Night City, a glittering yet rotten megalopolis where power, luxury, and despair coexist under the same neon light.

The protagonist is V, a customizable mercenary looking to make his way in the City of Broken Dreams. After accepting a seemingly simple job—stealing an experimental biochip from the Arasaka Corporation—everything spirals out of control. During the heist, V is forced to implant the chip in his head to survive… unaware that it contains the digital consciousness of Johnny Silverhand, a legendary anarchist rocker and cyberterrorist who disappeared decades ago.

Now, V must fight not only the megacorporations hunting him, but also Johnny, whose mind begins to merge with his own, threatening to erase his identity. As the two compete and collaborate for control of the same body, they uncover dark secrets about digital immortality, corporate corruption, and the price of freedom in a soulless society.

Through gang-ridden streets, neon-lit districts, and drone-filled skies, V is faced with an unavoidable question: What does it mean to be human when your soul can be copied, sold, or erased?
