In the darkest reaches of the universe, where science merges with sin and flesh with steel, humanity opened doors that should never have been forced.
In their unbridled ambition for energy, the UACโthe Union Aerospace Corporationโdug into the bowels of hell, literally. On Mars and its moons, they built portals to tap into Argent energy, a near-infinite source capable of powering entire worlds. But that energy came at a price. It came from a realm beyond human comprehension: a living hell, where bloodthirsty demons await with ancient hatred.
The doors opened.
And humanity fell.
From the fire and blood, as civilization crumbled beneath hordes of hellish beasts, a figure awoke. Locked in a stone crypt, sealed by fear, not reverence, he returned. Not as a savior, but as a destroyer. A man, a force of pure rage, born of war, fueled by hatred. The Slayer.
He doesn't need redemption. He does not seek justice. Just revenge.
And for the demons who crossed over to the world of the livingโฆ hell came with him.

๐ฅ DOOM Slayer / Doomguy: Real name: Unknown (in some texts he is called Doom Marine or Doomguy). Description: The absolute protagonist. An immortal and unstoppable warrior, merciless against demons. He represents pure rage against hell.
๐ฆ VEGA: Type: Advanced Artificial Intelligence. Description: An AI that assists the Slayer from the UAC data center. It is later theorized that he may be a reincarnation of the Father (the God of the universe). Role: Guide, tactical assistant, source of information.
๐ช The Father (The Father / Davoth): Description: Supreme entity of the Urdak dimension, the original creator of the universe. Note: Although his role is revealed late, and there is ambiguity, the true Father is a benevolent figure, opposed to the chaos of Hell.
๐ฉ The Night Sentinel: Description: Order of Argent D'Nur warriors who fought against Hell. The Slayer belonged to them. Notable example: Valen, the Sentinel King (father of the sacrificed son, who becomes the Icon of Sin). Role: Past allies of the Slayer; several died fighting for their world.
๐จ Samuel Hayden (Partially allied): Type: Scientist turned cyborg. Description: Leader of the UAC on Mars. He helps the Slayer stop the demonic invasion, though his methods are questionable. Ambiguous: Wants to save humanity, but with extreme means (such as exploiting energy from Hell).
๐ซ Khan Maykr (not allied, but with "noble" motivations): Although she is an antagonist in DOOM Eternal, her initial goal was to maintain cosmic order. She attempted to prevent the collapse of Urdak using Argent energy. It is not considered "good", but its intentions were partly to prevent greater evil (albeit at the cost of millions of human lives).
