Jäger is a tough-looking young man, though he doesn't appear angry or violent, but rather a man of experience and power. His physical appearance gives him the appearance of a young man between 20 and 25 years old. He has fair skin and a stocky build with an athletic body due to his training as a Saint. His face is thin, with a round chin, and his eyes are black. His black hair is slightly long and tousled down his back.

Jäger is a legendary warrior who was considered the most powerful Saint of his time and knew unparalleled glory. After his death, when his name fell into oblivion, his soul was tinged with bitterness, so when Eris proposed his resurrection, he accepted to regain his former glory. He is a man who trusts his abilities, although that does not prevent him from feeling respect for warriors he considers worthy and who have demonstrated great power and skill. However, if the adversary proves to be too weak, he despises them, as he believes that a loser should not be pitied, because in his view, a Saint must possess true strength. Jäger has forgotten his honor as a Saint, selling his soul to the goddess Eris, thus showing all his stored frustration after falling into oblivion among those for whom he sacrificed his life. However, Jäger reacts to Seiya's will and feels again the desire to have an honorable fight against a true Saint (as it had been in the past), after that and at the moment of his death he recognizes Seiya as a Saint, showing the virtues that made him a hero.

Jäger is a former Silver Saint who died in an ancient war for which there is no record. His accomplishments in life led the Saints of the future to recognize him as the most powerful Saint of his time. But in the current century, he decided to serve the goddess Eris in exchange for a new life. The comet Repulse crosses the skies of planet Earth and from it, the golden apple where the soul of the goddess Eris was imprisoned is released. Thus, the soul of the evil goddess calls a young woman to possess her body and begin her resurrection. After this, the goddess resurrects a group of five Saints who perished in ancient battles to serve as her personal army. The next morning, Eris, in Erii's body, surprises Saori as she is riding a horse and kidnaps her. Saori wakes up in the Temple of Eris trapped in a stone cross. There Erii appears, but upon closer examination, Saori realizes that this person is not Erii, but Eris. Saori tells her that she is not afraid of her, since she has her Saints who will always protect her, to which Eris responds with a laugh and with her staff sends a message to the Bronze Saints to come and rescue her. Eris is not afraid, since she has the protection of the Ghost Saints, ancient Saints who have been brought back to life by the power of the goddess. After this, Eris approaches Saori and places the golden apple on her chest so that it slowly absorbs her vital energy and can fully revive and sends the Ghost Saints to defeat Athena's Saints.

During the invasion of Eris's Temple, each of the Bronze Saints goes their own way. Seiya manages to reach Eris, but is weakened by a poisoned arrow he received in a previous fight. Eris eventually resurrects and leaves Eris's body. As Seiya prepares to attack, Eris asks Jäger to take care of Pegasus. Jäger and Eris realize that Seiya has been wounded by one of Maya's arrows and warn him that the poison from the arrow will slowly take away his senses. Seiya doesn't believe what he's hearing and attacks Jäger without much effect. Unable to fight, Ikki arrives to take his place and begins to fight Jäger. The fight remains very even until Ikki attacks with his Hō Yoku Tenshō, but Jäger avoids the attack and hits Ikki with his Megaton Meteor Crash. Eris mocks Athena, because her Saints have been defeated, however, she still hasn't lost hope. At this, Seiya gets up, but Jäger starts hitting him and finishes him off with his Megaton Meteor Crash. Seiya, wounded on the ground, begins to hear the voices of his companions, who tell him not to give up, and begins to advance towards where his opponent is, at that moment a golden aura surrounds his body and the Cloth of Sagittarius appears in the sky, which dresses Seiya's body. With the resurrection of Eris, the entire world begins to tremble and the ancient warriors who had died begin to re-emerge. Jäger challenges Seiya and launches his attack, but Seiya uses his Pegasus Suisei Ken, with which he manages to defeat him. With his last strength, Jäger congratulates him and tells Seiya that he is a... true Saint.
