Persona Attributes

Appearance.

Orpheus is a young man with white skin and an athletic build due to the training he underwent to become a Saint. His age is unknown, although his appearance suggests he could be around 20. His blue hair is so long it reaches his back and is disheveled. His face is thin and delicate, and his eyes are black.

Personality.

Orpheus was a Legendary Saint known as "the Legendary Troubadour". He was once loyal to Athena, but after being forgotten in history he generated resentment towards her and the Saints, so he gave his loyalty to the goddess Eris in exchange for a new life. Although he is a person of elegant bearing and gifted with great artistic and musical talent, he is a fierce warrior who does not hesitate to attack and kill his rival, even showing a smile while leading him to death with his technique, which could suggest that he is a bit narcissistic and sadistic. He seems to enjoy surrounding himself with aesthetically beautiful places, demonstrating his great taste for art and beauty, the place in the Temple of Eris where he decides to wait for his enemies is adorned with several statues and when he is caught by the illusion of the Hōō Genma Ken he can be seen enjoying playing the lyre in the ruins of a temple surrounded by a beautiful field of flowers. Furthermore, after receiving the Hōō Genma Ken it was shown that he is a person who fears nothing, not even the punishment of the Underworld, since after his death and his stay in the Underworld he has made him consider it his second home. Orpheus showed that he is someone who pays little attention to honor and is willing to do anything to enjoy a new life. Betraying Athena and selling his loyalty to Eris is a small price to pay in exchange for enjoying a new life. However, he showed great fury when Ikki mocks him, telling him that he is pathetic for selling his soul to an evil goddess.

History.

Orpheus is an ancient Silver Saint who died in an ancient war for which there is no record. When he wasn't fighting, he seemed to enjoy traveling to a ruined temple surrounded by a field of flowers, where he would play his lyre. His skill at playing this musical instrument went down in history, and he was recognized as the Legendary Troubadour by the Saints of the future. In the current century, he decided to serve the goddess Eris in exchange for a new life. The Repulse comet crosses the skies of planet Earth, and from it, the golden apple where the soul of the goddess Eris was imprisoned is released. Thus, the soul of the evil goddess calls upon a young woman to possess her body and begin her resurrection. After this, the goddess resurrects a group of five Saints who perished in ancient battles to serve as her personal army. The next morning, Eris, in Erii's body, surprises Saori as she is riding a horse and kidnaps her. Saori wakes up in the Temple of Eris, trapped in a stone cross. There Erii appears, but upon closer examination, Saori realizes that this person is not Erii, but Eris. Saori tells her that she is not afraid of her, since she has her Saints who will always protect her, to which Eris responds with a laugh and with her staff sends a message to the Bronze Saints to come and rescue her. Eris is not afraid, since she has the protection of the Ghost Saints, ancient Saints who have been brought back to life by the power of the goddess. After this, Eris approaches Saori and places the golden apple on her chest so that it gradually absorbs her vital energy and can fully revive her and sends the Ghost Saints to defeat Athena's Saints. During the invasion of Eris's Temple, each of the Bronze Saints follows their own path. Shun climbs a slope with his chains and walks among ruins and statues, where he begins to hear a melody that he finds beautiful.

History.

Orpheus, who was resting on a stone column while playing his lyre, sees that his opponent has arrived. Shun recognizes him as a Legendary Saint who was named "The Legendary Troubadour." Orpheus tells him that his music will be a death requiem for him and leaps to stand in front of Shun to begin the attack with his Stringer Requiem. The music confuses Shun's senses and he is unable to defend himself against the lyre strings that hold him down. As the music progresses, the pressure of the strings begins to tear at his body. But before he can kill him, Ikki arrives on the scene and cuts the strings to save his brother. Orpheus hears that Ikki is Shun's brother and points out to Ikki that he took away his brother's only chance to die in peace. These words only enrage Ikki, who attacks him with his Phoenix Genma Ken. The blow causes Orpheus to watch as his body incinerates as he falls into hell. Ikki believes that all of his opponent's nerves have been shattered. However, Orpheus begins to laugh and, seeing the surprise on his opponent's face, points out that he has already seen Hell, so he should not be surprised that the attack did not work on him. Ikki asks him if he is a ghost, to which Orpheus responds with a negative and explains that he is a ghost who sold his soul to Eris in exchange for a new body. Ikki begins to mock him, calling him pathetic for having sold his soul to an evil goddess. Orpheus becomes enraged and attacks with Stringer Requiem, but Ikki tells him that an attack does not work twice against a Saint and while dodging the attack, he counters with Hō Yoku Tenshō, which hits Orpheus' body and ends his life.

Weapon

Orpheus possesses a lyre to play a beautiful melody according to Shun's words, although he also uses it for combat and even to perform his Stringer Requiem, a curious fact is that when Orpheus is being resurrected by Eris you can see that he has the lyre in his hands.

Techniques/Attacks

•Stringer Requiem: The user, through a melody, unfolds the strings of his lyre, which bind and tear apart the victim's body. •Stringer Nocturne: This technique involves Orpheus raising his cosmos while simultaneously playing his lyre to sing a beautiful melody. This produces a powerful energy blast on opponents listening to the melody, pulverizing both their body and armor. •Requiem Symphony: Due to the sound of his lyre, which works as a hallucinogen for whoever listens to it, he is able to create endless illusions, including copies of himself, to affect and confuse the mind of his opponent. •Stringer Pain: When he attacks with his hands at the speed of light, the movement of his fingers leaves a trail of luminous threads that traps enemies, immobilizing them while the threads burn.
