Reda is one of Albiore of Cepheus' students on Andromeda Island, where he shares teachings with June, Spica, and Shun. Reda is one of the aspirants to obtain the Andromeda Armor. During the fights held to see who will have the opportunity to undergo the test of sacrifice, he faces Shun after the latter defeated Spica. When Shun does not attack him at the beginning of the fight, Reda tells him that he is afraid of him and does not want to fight him. Shun tells him that they could be injured during the fight, Reda replies that he is not ready to become a knight. Reda tells him that he is willing to do anything to obtain the Andromeda Armor. Reda then launches himself at Shun, but Shun dodges him and asks if he is afraid. Reda throws his chain, trapping Shun by the neck, then begins to punch him in the stomach, eventually knocking him down. Reda stomps Shun to the ground while holding him with the chain. Reda attempts to end the fight by choking Shun, but after June's encouragement, Shun reacts and manages to break Reda's chain. Reda and Shun throw their chains at each other and both grab one of the other's arms. As they get close, they hit each other, and Reda is the one who is knocked down and ends up losing the fight. Shun goes to check on Reda's condition after the fight, but Reda does not want to know anything about Shun's compassion and withdraws his hand. One day, Milo of Scorpio arrives on Andromeda Island, sent by the Pope of the Sanctuary to punish them, believing them to be traitors since Shun rebelled against the Sanctuary. Milo attacked them all, with Albiore being the only one who could hold him off for a while, but in the end he fell.

Reda was one of the few who managed to escape the island alive, shortly before Milo destroyed it. Reda leaves with Spica to Japan with the intention of killing Shun and thus appease the wrath of the Sanctuary. When they arrive, they find Shun and June embracing, and upon seeing them, they ask them what they are doing there. They tell Shun that they will cut off his head and offer it to the Sanctuary. Shun tries to talk to them, but they do not want to listen to Shun and attack him. June tells Shun to use his armor and Reda knocks her down with a kick. Then Reda and Spica attack Shun with the Double Nebula Chain, wrapping him in its chains. Shun tries to free himself, but Spica tells him that he will not be able to free himself. Reda tells him that it is useless to resist. But then, after remembering his brother, Shun begins to react by increasing his cosmos and manages to break the chains in which he was trapped, knocking down Reda and Spica. Spica and Reda launch themselves at Shun, but it is he who frees them both after knocking them down with the chains he had been holding. Reda receives a massive blow to his right eye, causing a wound. That is his last appearance; after that, he is never seen again.

He uses chains that come with his armor as weapons, and like the chains on the Andromeda armor, the chains on the Reda armor are electrified. The chains on the Southern Fish armor are special chains that simulate the scales of a fish.

•Fisherman Chain: Chains can be multiplied by hundreds (it's also worth mentioning that the length of the Southern Fish's chains is unlimited) to increase the number of hits. Mechanically, it's a direct attack where the chains slide, wrap around, and strike the enemy, and due to their destructive potential, their effect is almost always fatal. •Double Nebula Chain: This is Reda and Spica's special group technique. To perform this technique, both Reda and Spica use Shun's basic Nebula Chain attack. Thanks to their training, they are able to coordinate their attacks. Using their speed, they manage to bind their victim with their chains and strangle them to death. •Anchor of the Abyss: Reda throws his chains that hit opponents with tremendous force as if it were an anchor. •Chain Tsunami: Reda launches a multi-chain attack that simulates a tsunami that envelops the enemy in a flurry of chains.
