Pegasus Seiya

His main characteristic is to never give up in any situation, no matter how impossible or difficult it may seem, always in the name of justice and the goddess Athena. Seiya believes in friendship and hope, he is somewhat temperamental, impulsive, reckless and foolish sometimes. When he was little, Seiya was often afraid to continue his training, driven by the idea that his head would be one more in Cassios' collection in the event of a possible confrontation with him (which would later occur when Seiya went to obtain his corresponding Cloth) and also by the discrimination that existed in the Sanctuary with respect to Asians, a fact that cost him a beating from his teacher Marin, but that also made him gain the friendship of Aiolia, who encouraged him to continue with his training.

Seiya's hair is short, spiky, and barely reaching the nape of his neck. He has wide sideburns, pronounced eyebrows, and a pert nose. His hair is brown, sometimes with a Pantone gradient, and he has chocolate-brown eyes. His civilian attire consists of a red T-shirt with rolled-up sleeves, light blue jeans, and white sneakers, as well as a set of red cloth bands on his wrists and left arm.

After being orphaned along with his older sister Seika, he was taken in by the Graad Foundation's Star Children Academy orphanage. Some time later, Seiya was transferred to the Sanctuary in Greece to obtain the title of Saint. Before leaving, Seiya made a deal with Mitsumasa Kido, which consisted of returning to Japan after completing his training with his Cloth, the latter would help him reunite with his sister, from whom he was separated in his childhood. Seiya trained at the Sanctuary for six years under the tutelage of Marin, a female Silver Saint of Eagle, who was assigned to train him since she was of Japanese origin, like Seiya. After six years of hard training, Seiya obtained recognition as a Bronze Saint after defeating ten opponents in the Sanctuary Coliseum. His final confrontation was against Cassios, a disciple of Shaina, the Silver Saint of Ophiuchus, whom he defeated with the first use of his technique, the "Pegasus Meteor". Upon emerging victorious, the Pope of the Sanctuary gives him the Bronze Cloth of Pegasus. Once his task is accomplished, Seiya returns to Japan and the first thing he does is go to the Kido Mansion to see Mitsumasa so that he can fulfill his part of the agreement they both made years ago. But he is greatly surprised to learn from his granddaughter Saori that Mitsumasa died four years ago and that her sister disappeared a year after he left for Greece. Impatient for answers, Seiya heeds Miho's advice, whom he went to ask about Seika's whereabouts, and decides to participate in the Galactic Tournament in the hope that his sister will see him wherever he is and that if he wins, the graad foundation will help him search for his sister. After defeating Geki, the Bronze Saint of the Bear, he faces Shiryū the Dragon without armor. Seiya's blow stops Shiryū's heartbeat.

Almost on the verge of death, Seiya saves the Dragon, hitting him in the back, with the same force in this way, he manages to make Shiryū's heart beat again. According to the rules of the Sanctuary, they prohibited the Saints from participating in fights motivated by personal ambitions, so from this moment on, Seiya and the other Bronze Saints are considered traitors and persecuted by the other Saints of the Sanctuary. faces the Black Knights commanded by Ikki, Bronze Knight of the Phoenix. Seiya is the first to face a Silver Saint, Misty of Lizard, who had orders to kill him for having fought for her own benefit in the galactic tournament, so he offers him to commit suicide or have Misty kill him, but Seiya chooses to fight for his life. Marin tried to save Seiya's life by helping him fake his death, but Misty didn't fall for the deception. This fight shows that the Silver Saints are just warriors because Misty always recognizes Seiya's virtues as a knight, but for breaking the laws of Athena he must die, so Misty also fights to the end. After defeating Misty, Seiya fought against Moses of the Whale and Asterion of the Hound, because Misty had agreed to meet with them so they went to look for him, only to discover that he had died. Seiya was trying to save Marin (because he had been told that Marin could be his lost sister) from Moses and Asterion and was able to defeat Moses, but against Asterion's mental and physical ability, Seiya was powerless and was defeated. After the truth is revealed that Saori Kido is Athena, Athena is kidnapped by Jamian of Crow's crows and it is up to Seiya to go save her. Seiya faces Jamian and his Black Wing Terror, but because of his newly inspired devotion to Saori, Seiya throws himself off a cliff to save her.

Seiya breaks his arm in his act and everything gets more complicated when Shaina of Ophiuchus arrives to support Jamian, Seiya can not fight in those conditions so they spoke with Saori and the two decide to risk "all or nothing" making a high risk escape in which Seiya ends up unconscious and where this time it is Saori who defends him from the Silver Saints. In this scene we see for the first time the special feeling that is born between one another. Later, being in the hospital for his injuries, he faces for the first time with Aiolia of Leo who was sure that Saori was a false Athena. When Aioria wounds Shaina when she gets in the way of the attack intended for Seiya, Aioria decides to withdraw for the moment. Faced with this fact, Dio of Musca, Sirius of Canis Major and Algethi of Hercules appear, who had been commissioned by the Patriarch to watch over Aiolia. This trio of Silver Saints would have finished off Seiya, if not for the sudden appearance of the Gold Cloth of Sagittarius, who protects Seiya and defeats the Saints in a split second; faced with this fact, Aiolia cannot ignore the situation and decides to confront him, Saori intervenes in the attack and Seiya protects her by stopping it with his hands. After Seiya (helped by the cosmos and the armor of Aiolia) returns his attack, and his brother's soul claims him for what he did, he begins to doubt that Saori is not the true Athena and returns to the sanctuary. After his arrival at the 12 Houses, Seiya defeats Ptolemy of Sagitta, who had already fulfilled his mission of sticking a golden arrow in Saori's heart. His Armor is repaired by Mu of Aries, like the others. While this is happening, when he is instructed by the Saint of Jamir about the existence of the Seventh Sense, Seiya faces Aldebaran of Taurus, who in his first attack knocks out the other Bronze Saints. Seiya is put in a difficult position by Aldebaran's offensive-defensive stance.

However, Seiya manages to remember Marin's teachings and with the help of his Pegasus Comet, he manages to break his rival's position. From that moment on, he is able to see his enemy's attack and with the help of his cosmos, he is able to stop the Great Horn and then takes the Gold Saint by surprise and cuts off the golden horn of his helmet with his own arm. Seiya does not recognize in him the man who had sworn fidelity to the goddess Athena and finally decides to confront him, but Aiolia turns out to be a very difficult enemy. When he is about to lose his life, Cassios bursts into the Temple of Leo and challenges Aiolia, who kills him without major problems. Because of this, Aiolia is finally free from the power of the Imperial Satan of the Patriarch that controlled his mind, which is why he attacked Seiya, and that would only disappear by killing an enemy. He saves Saori Kido with the golden shield of Athena and almost dies by Saga of Gemini who was the impostor Patriarch. Seiya finally arrives at the Patriarch's room when the path of roses left by Aphrodite disappears, there he finds a man who is sorry for everything that happened and who also explains how he can save Athena. However, this man undergoes a transformation and returns to being the same evil being as before. He reveals himself as the Saint of Gemini (Saga) and attacks Seiya leaving him without his five senses and on the verge of death. Only the intervention of the Phoenix allows Seiya to continue on to the Temple of Athena, where he uses the Golden Shield to save Saori. Saga, furious that his plans had been ruined, vows to end Seiya's life.

After Saori is kidnapped by Poseidon, Seiya and Shun are the first to descend to the marine world in the hopes of rescuing Athena from Poseidon's hands. There they meet the siren Thetis and the sea general Sea Dragon; although they don't really know who he is and both head to the pillars. The first Sea General he meets is Baian, who uses a defensive technique based on the humidity of the air and the rotation of his hands. Seiya is dominated at all times by Baian and his techniques, putting Seiya in serious trouble, but Seiya manages to remember his confrontation with Misty from Lizard. And due to the very similar fighting style between Misty and Baian, Seiya manages to get past her defense. Seiya moves on, and discovers that after his armor was repaired with the blood of the Gold Saints, the Pegasus armor can now reach a strength similar to the Gold Cloths when Seiya reaches the level of the Gold Saints, and that is how Seiya is finally able to defeat Baian. But the challenge is not over yet, because the pillar is too resistant and no technique of Seiya has any effect, even Baian, when dying, is not worried that the pillar will be unprotected. And when Seiya was about to risk his life to destroy the Pillar, Kiki arrives with the Libra armor, helping Seiya successfully destroy the pillar. Seiya continues on his way, this time reaching the pillar of the Antarctic Ocean, where apparently there is no general. But that was the strategy of Kasa of Lymnades, who was waiting for him under the image of Marin of Eagle, confessing to Seiya that she was his sister whom he had been searching for for so many years. Seiya falls for the general's trick and is defeated. After Kasa's defeat by Ikki, Seiya advances to Poseidon's temple and faces Julian Solo, who uses the power of Poseidon.

Poseidon destroys the Armor of Pegasus, even though it is covered with the power of the Golden Saints, until the soul of Aiolos sends Seiya the Armor of Sagittarius so he can fight. Even wearing the Cloth of Sagittarius, Seiya cannot harm Poseidon and every arrow Seiya shoots at him returns to himself, which continues even when his friends are present, hurting Shaina and Shiryū in the same way. Until finally, with the united cosmos of Seiya, Hyōga, Shiryū and Shun, the Arrow of the Golden Sagittarius manages to damage Julian and the Saints manage to pass his guard, all confident that they have been able to overcome Julian. However, the arrow has only awakened the still dormant spirit of Poseidon and now he faces the Saints with all his power, knocking them all down. Then, Seiya gets up but Hyōga tells him to continue that he will be his armor. Then, joining his Cosmo with Shiryū's (protected by the shield and the Libra Cloth itself) and Hyōga's (protected by the Aquarius Cloth) Seiya manages to stun Poseidon and make him momentarily lose consciousness, at that moment Seiya and the others try to destroy the Main Breadwinner with the Libra weapons but this time they are useless. So Seiya asks Hyōga and Shiryū to throw it against the Central Pillar to be able to rescue Athena and so they do. Finally and before a stunned Poseidon, Seiya manages to rescue Athena and destroy the Central Pillar, thus causing the collapse of the entire marine temple. Poseidon is furious but before he can attack Seiya, Saori awakens and confronts the god of the seas. Seiya is about to shoot a golden arrow at Poseidon, but Athena stops him, telling Seiya that Julian Solo should not pay for Poseidon's crimes, so she confronts the god and, after being saved by Kanon from Poseidon's Trident, she encloses him again in his vessel, freeing Julian.

He is the first to learn of the invasion of the revived Gold Saints to the Sanctuary, Seiya appears during the fight of Deathmask of Cancer and Aphrodite of Pisces against Mu of Aries, but the latter tells him that by orders of Athena he and the other Bronze Saints should not be in the sanctuary. Mu pretends to attack Seiya with his Starlight Extinction but only uses the technique as a screen to teleport Seiya out of the place and towards the coliseum. Shiryū finds Seiya in the coliseum and together they return to the battle at the 12 houses. Seiya arrives at the House of Cancer and fights with Giganto of Cyclops but is beaten, then he would fight with Myū of Papillon but Mu asks him to leave that fight to him. Later he would use his Pegasus Ryūsei Ken to, together with Shiryū, Hyōga and Shun, raise the fused Athena's Exclamations. Like the other Bronze Saints, he arrives at the Temple of Athena, when she had already taken her own life. Shion explains the reason for this death and with the blood of the goddess restores the Bronze Cloths. Then, they go to the Castle of Hades where they enter the world of the dead. In the Castle of Hades Seiya and his friends face Radamanthys of Wyvern, who defeats the four Bronze Saints and Seiya is the only one who gets up to continue fighting against the judge, with whom at the end of the fight, Radamanthys throws himself into the hole that connects to the Underworld but Seiya tries to follow him but is stopped, Seiya faces Valentine of Harpia and in the end grabs onto him, both falling through the hole that leads to the world of the dead. upon falling into the Underworld he faces Charon of Acheron, because he did not want to take him and Shun to Hell. Charon finally agrees to take them when he sees Shun's medallion. Upon reaching the shore, Seiya defeats Charon.

In the First Prison, he is confronted by Lune of the Balrog, who judges him with his whip, but Shun saves him from being sent to the first valley of the sixth prison, although they are finally saved by Kanon of Gemini. In the second Prison, Seiya and Shun face Cerberus, the guard dog of hell, and Pharaoh of the Sphinx. Seiya and Shun are at the mercy of the Pharaoh's melodies, but Orphee of Lyra arrives and, out of his old loyalty to Athena, decides to spare their lives and deceive Pharaoh. Afterwards, Seiya and Shun accompany Orpheus to his presentation before Hades. In Giudecca, together with Orpheus of Lyra, he tries to defeat Hades, but they are interrupted by Radamanthys. Orpheus submits to Seiya's Meteor so that Radamanthys is defeated in turn, but the meteor only manages to end Orpheus's life. At the end of the encounter, Seiya witnesses the takeover of Shun's body by Hades and is sent to Cocytos. In Cocytos, trapped in the frozen hell after his fight with Radamanthys, he meets Valentine again, where Seiya manages to trick him into freeing him, where the fight begins, and now Pegasus is victorious. After the sacrifice of the Gold Saints to open the Wailing Wall, Seiya discovers new abilities of his armor, which now has a pair of wings that allow him to cross the path of the gods to reach the Elysian Fields, all thanks to the blood of Athena.

Already in Elysion or Elysian Fields, Seiya faces Thanatos (who learned of his presence because he caused a great commotion among his Nymphs). After a hard battle, Thanatos shows Seiya that his sister Seika is in the sanctuary protected by her friends. This gives Seiya more strength, who is now rescued by his companions who have also arrived at the Elysian Fields but they are all defeated. With the help of Poseidon, the Golden Armors reach the Elysian Fields and Seiya dons the Sagittarius Armor, but for a very short time, since it is destroyed by Thanatos' Terrible Providence technique. After almost losing all hope, Saori encourages him, along with Seika and all his friends in the Sanctuary, to keep going and not give up, so Seiya sets his Cosmos ablaze again and this time with Athena's blood, Seiya obtains the Divine Armor of Pegasus. Although Hypnos warns his brother about the power of the divine armor, Thanatos does not listen and attacks Seiya, but the Pegasus dodges his attacks with ease and manages to hit him. Not even Thanatos' Terrible Providence can stop Seiya, who blocks the technique and attacks with his Pegasus Meteor, destroying the armor of the god of death and recovering the Cloth of Athena. Thanatos tries to attack again, but Seiya finishes him off definitively with his Pegasus Comet, killing the terrible Thanatos. Seiya hurries to reach Saori, but is now stopped by Hypnos. However, Seiya easily destroys the helmet of Hypnos' armor and continues on his way, but the god of sleep attacks him in an attempt to stop him.

Ikki receives the attack to protect Seiya, who takes his partner with him while Shun, who had obtained the Divine Armor of Andromeda, faces Hypnos. Seiya and Ikki, who obtains the Divine Phoenix Armor thanks to Athena's blood, try to destroy Hades' original body to end the holy war. However, the god of the underworld returns to his body and now Pegasus and the Phoenix must face Hades himself. Hades recognizes Seiya's face as the Saint of Pegasus who wounded him in the mythological era, so he decides to kill him. Shun, Hyōga and Shiryū, both with their Divine Armors of Swan and Dragon respectively, join the battle and join forces, managing to wound Hades and provoking his fury. When Hades is about to kill Seiya, Saori frees herself from the Vase she was in and protects her knights. Wearing the Armor of Athena, Saori faces Hades, but is no match for him. In an attempt to protect Athena, Seiya intervenes in Hades' attack and hits the god of the underworld with a final Pegasus Meteor, further injuring Hades. However, the Sword of Hades remains stuck in Seiya's heart and he collapses in Saori's arms, while Cosmos disappears. Finally, Athena, combining her Cosmos with the rest of her knights, manages to destroy Hades for good by piercing him with her staff, finally ending the war with the god of the underworld.

Seiya appears in a vegetative state, confined to a wheelchair due to a curse from the Sword of Emperor Hades that remained ethereally embedded in his chest since that battle with the god. Saori, along with Shun, go to the previous Holy War that occurred in the 18th century to destroy the cursed sword within a time limit of three days, otherwise Seiya would die without remedy. Being defenseless in that wheelchair, Tōma, an Angel imprisoned by the goddess Artemis, appears, commanded by Callisto, the High Commander of the army of the Goddess of the Moon, to kill Seiya. At the moment that Tōma was preparing to execute Seiya, Marin intervenes and prevents him from fulfilling his mission; later Hyōga arrives and has a brief fight with the Angel.

Tōma flees, threatening to kill Seiya next time without fail. Seiya is left in the care of Marin and Shaina, while Athena tries to save his life this time.

•Pegasasu Ryūsei Ken: his fist creates an endless series of punches launched at a speed that breaks the sound barrier, hitting the target thanks to the momentum of the air. •Pegasus Suisei Ken: Gathers all the power of the meteors in a single point, causing a powerful blow capable of sending any warrior in its path flying. •Pegasus Rolling Crush: In this attack, Pegasus stands behind his enemy, grabbing him firmly and both rising into the sky, then falling heavily to the surface. •Pegasus Kōsoku Ken: Seiya uses his entire body to launch himself towards his target with great momentum forward at great speed, unleashing a punch with his cosmos of light. •Issen Hissats: It is a technique that consists of shooting a fulminating beam of energy launched by Seiya, he raises his right arm with three fingers and launches a beam at the opponent. •Shin Pegasasu Suisei Ken: Seiya launches a meteor shower and jumps, setting his cosmos ablaze. The Saint of Pegasus then uses the Pegasus Suisei Ken to impact his enemy. Upon impact, a huge explosion engulfs everything in its path. Shin Pegasus Ryūsei Ken: He ignites his cosmos, then launches himself at his enemy to apply a series of blows, then lifts him into the air and throws the cosmos he had accumulated in the form of a large meteor. •Pegasus Meteor Strike: Seiya's fist projects an endless series of blows launched at a speed that breaks the sound barrier, forming a single blow capable of creating a giant shock wave. •Khrusos Aster: Seiya gathers all the power of his cosmos in a single blow which focuses on the fist of his right arm upwards with great power capable of destroying any surface. •Pegasus Suisei Ken Big Bang: Seiya raises his cosmos and launches a blow at the speed of light that generates a great explosion at the moment of impact causing a huge explosion.
