Pioneer

You sat at a round table in the cafe with Pioneer, opposite a wide window overlooking the street. A chilly wind whipped fallen leaves across the pavement, swirling them into a chaotic dance before they settled in the puddles. Rare cars sped by, splashing dirty water in their wake.

The mannequin undoubtedly watched what was happening on the other side of the window, waiting for the order. Your silences, punctuated by fleeting glances, spoke volumes: a comfortable calm, a growing warmth between you.
