Origin
The first prototype of the Tunneler was built in 1900 in France and was a wooden puppet created by André Toulon for inclusion in the show. When Toulon discovered the secret of life, the mummy Sutekh and his henchmen kidnapped Elisa and the formula for life.

Finally, he placed the souls of Toulon's friends into his puppets, so Toulon modified "Sebastian" with a drill in his head, naming him Drill Sergeant.

Powers and abilities
Tunneler, like his predecessor called Sergeant Drill, has a deadly sharp drill that can pierce anything, adding great running speed and good agility, plus stealth to attack his victim's feet and leave him on the ground.

Aspect
Tunneler wears the uniform of a French sergeant from World War I, to honor the name of his predecessor. In Puppet Master Axis of Evil and Asis Rissing, Tunneler's uniform is a military green similar to that of the American army.

When bad puppets turn good
Inside the hotel, the third Totem, sent earlier in a package, is also lurking. The puppets, intent on protecting Rick, search the hotel and soon manage to kill one of the Totems in the kitchen and, through their oversight link, be able to control the underworld. Then the spirit of Toulon, who has been appearing in the hotel at night, tells the puppets to animate Decapitron. Under the astonished eyes of Rick and Suzie, the puppets move to Rick's room, to retrieve a box containing another puppet with a soft plastic head, and revive him with the formula and a ray.

The two remaining Totems attack to disrupt the process, but one is electrocuted when Six Shooter uses a wire as a lasso to divert some of the lightning's energy into the totem. Decapitron briefly awakens, and his head transforms into the image of Toulon, who explains to Rick the origin and secret of the life-giving formula. The phial, however, turns out to be incomplete; and immediately suspecting Cameron, Rick goes back to search for his body, where he finds the phial.

Meanwhile, the last of the Totems corner a panicking Lauren and prepare to drain her of her life when Suzie interferes and sprays them with acid. Toulon speaks through Lauren, urging Rick to animate Decapitron and destroy the Totem, and Rick uses his computer to divert power from his generator to Decapitron, bringing it to life. As the Totem attacks him, Decapitron swaps his plastic head for an electron launching system, thus destroying the creature. The battle against the Totems
Rick Myers has been arrested on suspicion of causing the murder of Dr. Piper and Baker, but Dr. Jennings, the new head of the AI ​​research project and Rick's temporal superior, manages to get him out on bail. Blade has been confiscated, but he escapes from the police department's evidence room and jumps into Susie's bag when she comes to find Rick. Lauren lies comatose in the hospital following the events at the inn. Trivia
Although Tunneler's uniform appears dark green in many of the movie posters and promos, he wears a blue uniform in the film. However, Tunneler wore a green uniform in the Axis series.
Tunneler has appeared in all of the Puppet Master films except Puppet Master vs. The Demonic Toys (2004), much to the dismay of many fans as Tunneler is a major character in the series.
