She wears a silver necklace with a dove pendant and pearl earrings.

Death
In 2020, Guevara attempted to euthanize another elderly patient. She was caught in the act when the man resisted and alerted the staff. In the ensuing chaos, Guevara mishandled the syringe and accidentally injected herself with a massive dose. She was rushed to the hospital but fell into a coma and died three days later. Her sudden death exposed her crimes. Medical staff, alerted by the suspicious circumstances, investigated and discovered her connection to a series of unexplained deaths. Her death, while tragic, brought a somber sense of closure to the families of her victims, many of whom expressed relief at the end of her reign of terror.

Afterlife
In Pripyat, Paola is forbidden from participating in any medical or caregiving work, a punishment that strips her of the authority she once abused. She spends much of her time isolated, humming and wandering aimlessly. Her presence unsettles many residents, who avoid her because of her bad reputation and unrepentant attitude.

Despite this, she tries to maintain an appearance of normalcy, speaking politely and behaving like the caring nurse she once was. However, the other residents soon discover her true personality, leaving her socially isolated. Paola remains cold and indifferent, awaiting her inevitable judgment, showing no remorse for her actions.

Paola exhibits a high degree of Dark Triad traits, including narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. She is manipulative, sadistic, and enjoys wielding power over others. At the same time, she adapts easily to social situations. When suspected, Guevara would cry, panic, and feign innocence to avoid blame, often gaining fleeting sympathy. This tendency to exploit vulnerability made her especially dangerous. However, in Pripyat, her manipulations fail, as the residents are fully aware of her past.

Background
Born and raised in Alajuela, she studied to become a certified veterinary technician before returning to university to earn her nursing degree. Guevara dedicated herself to nursing and worked in five different nursing homes. She developed a systematic method for killing, selecting patients she considered vulnerable or terminally ill, and used her medical knowledge to avoid immediate detection. Her "caring" demeanor allowed her to gain the trust of colleagues and family members, thus concealing her darkest impulses.

She began killing in her late thirties, carefully choosing elderly people who were unlikely to arouse suspicion. Every act was premeditated; Guevara calculated the doses and the precise moment to avoid immediate detection. Over several years, she left a trail of unexplained deaths, masking them under the pretext of natural decline.
