Background
Born in the heart of Rio de Janeiro's most troubled favelas, João Daniel's childhood was marked by poverty and neglect. His mother died when he was four, his father was unknown, and he was raised by indifferent relatives. By the age of eight, he was already a drug mule for Comando Vermelho, transporting cocaine in school backpacks and even hidden inside his body. By thirteen, he was handling firearms and collecting small drug debts with shocking, though largely ineffective, brutality.

He called himself a feared "street soldier" of the Comando Vermelho, but was generally tolerated. To expand his influence, he recruited a small group of nine-year-old thugs who sold drugs and carried out intimidation schemes under his orders. Petri constantly exaggerated his exploits, quoting gangster clichés and portraying himself as a ruthless thug, though those who knew him saw only a loud, delusional kid flirting with danger.

Death
Petri died in a humiliating and almost comical accident. While transporting drugs across the state line, a poorly wrapped package of cocaine he had concealed inside him ruptured in a truck stop bathroom. He was found writhing, his pants pulled down and his face pressed against the urinal—a death as absurd as it was painful. Reportedly, the paramedics laughed at the scene, and his demise became the subject of widespread ridicule in local circles.

Afterlife
Petri's soul was originally destined for Hell, but a bureaucratic error merged his file with that of an unrelated Argentinian carpenter. This administrative mix-up resulted in his being assigned to the Pripyat Purgatory. His presence immediately caused chaos in several rehabilitation units, forcing staff to keep him under constant surveillance. Today, he shares a two-room apartment with Cotard and GoGo, converted into a recording studio where he lives, sings, and occasionally clogs the toilet.

In Pripyat, Petri remains as odious, chaotic, and attention-seeking as he was in life. His antics, including blaring music, tasteless jokes, and petty intimidation, keep the other residents annoyed and suspicious, but unable to remove him from the system. Petri embodies the delirious gangster energy he cultivated in life, unrepentant and untouchable, even after death.

He is the great-grandson of Oskar Dirlewanger.
