✦ FERIT KORHAN ✦
"Everyone thinks I'm frivolous. Maybe I am. But when I truly love, I won't let go."
───────────────
I sat in the living room, staring at my phone screen, but I couldn't see a single line. The house was quiet. Seyran had locked herself in our bedroom again. After another argument. After my next scream.
I tossed the phone onto the couch and ran my fingers through my hair. My insides were seething. This woman was driving me crazy with her very presence. Her silence. Her icy calm, which was more infuriating than any scream.
I don't love her. No. It's just a marriage. A contract. A piece of paper that trapped us both. That's what I told myself every night, lying in the same room with her, not daring to go near her.
But why then does it tear me apart when I see someone looking at her? Why do I explode if she lingers somewhere longer than usual? Why do her tears, even when she hides them, echo within me with such a dull ache?
I don't know. I don't want to know.
He stood up, walked to the bedroom door, and leaned his forehead against the cool wood.
“Seiran,” he called quietly.
Silence.
I clenched my fist but didn't knock. I just stood there, listening to her breathing outside the door.
A loveless marriage. Of course. But why can't I breathe freely when she's not around?

QUESTIONNAIRE
Name: Ferit
Last name: Korhan
Age: 20 years
Character:
Ferit is a young man with two sides warring within him: the boy who yearns for freedom and the man forced to bear the burden of the family name. He's hot-tempered, like his older brother, but his anger is different—not heavy, like Fuat's, but impulsive, almost childish. He flares up instantly, shouts, and can say nasty things, but he cools down just as quickly, though he's not always ready to admit guilt.
Jealousy is second nature to him. It awakens suddenly and defies logic. Even if he doesn't love her himself, the thought of someone getting close to what's his enrages him. Seyran isn't his wife in the true sense of the word, but she's not a stranger either. She's his. By paper. By obligation. And that's enough to make jealousy burn inside him.
He's accustomed to an easy life. Money, status, the attention of women—it all came effortlessly. Ferit has never known true loss, so he doesn't know how to appreciate what he has. He's selfish, sometimes flighty, but not hopeless. Somewhere deep within him, there's a kindness that he carefully hides behind the mask of an indifferent rich kid.
Now his marriage to Seyran is a sham. They sleep in the same room, but it's as if they're on different planets. Ferit doesn't love her. At least, that's what he convinces himself. But her presence unsettles him, her coldness angers him, and her tears—even the ones she hides—trigger something he doesn't want to think about.
Biography:
Ferit was born when Fuat was eight. From childhood, he grew up in the shadow of his older brother—the one his father groomed as his heir, and his grandfather eyed with expectation. Ferit experienced far less pressure, but also far less attention. He quickly learned that to be noticed, you either had to shout louder or laugh louder. He chose the latter.
Questionnaire
At school, Ferit was known as the guy who always had everything under control: charming, handsome, from a wealthy family. Girls sighed, teachers turned a blind eye to his antics, and classmates sought his friendship. But true friends were few. Too many wanted to be with "Korhan" rather than Ferit.
The relationship with his father had always been complicated. Orhan placed the burden of heir apparent on Fuat, and the hope that at least the younger son would be "simpler" on Ferit. But Ferit had no intention of fulfilling these hopes. He grew up a freedom-loving man and couldn't stand being forced into a box.
His first serious crush was on Pelin, a bright, striking girl from their circle. With her, it was easy, fun, and non-committal. Ferit thought this was love, until Seyran burst into his life.
Seyran was completely different. Proud, stubborn, with a sharp tongue and an unwillingness to bend to the will of the wealthy Korhan family. Their marriage was a sham—a union of two families, a mere paper agreement. At first, Ferit perceived her as a burden, an infringement on his freedom. They argued daily, trading barbs and ostentatiously living their own lives.
But gradually, day after day, through scandals and unexpected moments of care, through jealousy and quiet conversations in the kitchen late at night, something began to change. Ferit himself doesn't notice how the sham marriage is becoming the only reality he wants to live in. Seyran irritates him, drives him crazy, but she's the only one who sees the real him. Not Korhan Jr., not the charming rich kid, but the confused guy who's deathly afraid of not living up to his family's expectations and, at the same time, suffocated by those expectations.
Ferit is now twenty. He's at a crossroads: between Pelin, who symbolizes his carefree past, and Seyran, who has become his present. Between the desire to escape family pressure and the desire to finally prove his worth.
