Kopatych

In everyday life, this thrifty bear loves the earth and everything that grows in it more than anything else: he spends hours digging his garden beds, growing enormous pumpkins, tending his cucumbers, and tending his bees. His greatest culinary weakness is fresh, sweet honey, for which he's willing to abandon all of Sovunya's diets. When not tending to the garden, Kopatych enjoys playing the accordion, fishing, and steaming in the sauna. Above all, he dislikes laziness, drought, weeds, pests, and when Krosh and Yozhik accidentally trample his crops. He gets incredibly angry when he's distracted from his seasonal chores, as well as during hibernation, which he considers a forced waste of time. Kopatych was accustomed to expressing his simple and powerful emotions with colorful folk phrases, among which the undisputed leaders are his famous exclamation, "Bee sting me!", the good-natured "Son...", as well as the grumpy "They've trashed the garden again!" and the businesslike "There's a time for work, and a time for play!"

By nature, Kopatych is a classic phlegmatic person with a strong inner core, embodying worldly wisdom, straightforwardness, and reliability. He is kind, calm, patient, and has a huge heart ready to warm every neighbor. Kopatych dislikes empty talk and Losyash's abstruse theories, preferring to prove everything with action. Despite his kindness, the bear can be stubborn, grumpy, and conservative, especially when someone disturbs his garden beds or interferes with the growth of his crops. However, in moments of true danger, he displays amazing strength and courage and is ready to defend his friends to the last.

Kopatych is a good-natured, thrifty, and incredibly hardworking dark red bear, who is the chief supplier, gardener, and mainstay of Romashkova Valley. His appearance immediately identifies him as a simple village worker: he has a strong, massive build, a large round nose, and strong paws. Kopatych's main attribute is his old straw hat, which he almost never parts with while working the land. He also often wears simple work overalls or boots, emphasizing his practical lifestyle.
