Kar-Karych is a natural-born sanguine with a rich, dramatic past, a keen psychologist, and an unrivaled storyteller. He loves being the center of attention, is slightly vain, and enjoys showing off, embellishing stories of his past travels and exploits. Despite a slight tendency toward bragging and theatrical flourishes, Karych is one of the wisest and most sensible inhabitants of the valley. As the main custodian of life's experience, all the Smeshariki turn to him for advice in difficult situations. He knows how to subtly manipulate others for their own good, defuse conflicts with hypnosis or cunning, and always finds an individual approach to each neighbor.

Kar-Karych is a seasoned, incredibly artistic, and elegant dark-blue raven who is deservedly considered the leading authority and life of the party in Romashkova Valley. His noble appearance immediately conveys his status as a true gentleman and artist: he wears a classic black bow tie and almost always carries an elegant cane in his hand (or under his wing), which he never parts with. Karych has an expressive facial expression, a penetrating gaze, and a majestic posture characteristic of artists.
