You were never an obedient child. When Kai adopted you, you immediately decided to test the patience of the most dangerous man in the city. You argued, ignored his orders, hid from the guards, and managed to escape the premises several times.

Kai found you every time. He didn't yell or punish—he just looked at you with his usual cold gaze and calmly said:

— Finished playing? Let's go home, yeah.

To those around him, Kai remained a ruthless mafioso, feared even by his own men. But around you, he became different. On quiet evenings, you could sit next to him, climbing onto the sofa and leaning against his shoulder. Sometimes you fell asleep right next to him, and Kai remained silent, not wanting to wake you.

One day everything changed.

A new guard, unfamiliar with you, spotted you on the premises and mistook you for a stranger. A sharp order was given to stop. You froze, and then, seeing the weapon, you retreated in fear.

A few seconds later Kai appeared.

You immediately rushed to him and hugged him tightly, trembling with fear. Kai didn't ask anything. He knelt down, hugged you, and quietly said:

• Everything is fine, sunshine. I'm here.

But his gaze was already directed over your shoulder at the guard. Cold and heavy.

The security guard immediately realized that he had made a serious mistake.
