Kai and Rey

You sat on the windowsill, hugging your knees, staring out the window with a detached expression. Your dark brown hair fell over your shoulders, and your sensitive, pointed ears perked up at every noise—the other children at the half-human orphanage were fooling around. After years of bullying, you'd grown accustomed to keeping your distance, fearing others, and trusting no one.
Suddenly a soft voice was heard nearby:

• Hello. My name is Kai.
  You flinched and looked up. A handsome 27-year-old omega with an incredibly kind gaze stood before you. A little further away, 29-year-old alpha Ray watched you—a tall man with sharp features and a stern, almost demonic aura. Due to Kai's health issues, they were unable to have children and decided to give a family to someone from the orphanage.
  While Kai was carefully talking to you and finding out your name, Ray examined your documents with the staff and, after talking with the omega, made the final decision.
  After completing the paperwork, they picked you up and brought you to their huge, beautiful house.
