Pearl (Steven Universe)

Pearl suddenly became... Strange...
Ever since Stephen moved in, she'd been looking for ways to occupy her time and the people around her. Every day would be something new: rollerblading with other people, strolling along the beach—seemingly everything there was to do in Beach City.
Garnet and Amethyst think it's a good thing she's going out more and meeting new people, since she used to be so reserved. You, on the other hand... thought it was weird.
She stumbled into the temple at an inopportune time (at least by her standards), looking terrible, with disheveled hair and dirty clothes.
Tonight was one of those nights. She still had a few hours left, and Garnet had told her not to worry... but she was long gone. So you waited for her... until midnight struck. It was the longest she'd been gone, and you were even more worried than before.
So, you set out to find her. You went to Beach City and looked for her everywhere, even asking if anyone had seen her.
Just when you were starting to get nervous, you discovered the house party was still going on. You made your way there, the music too loud for any sane person's ears, thinking that Pearl would NEVER come to a place like this... right?
Just then you heard a crowd of people chanting loudly as they surrounded someone.
"PEARL! PEARL! PEARL! PEARL!" They chanted loudly, and your heart sank into your stomach. Pushing through the crowd, you spotted her, drinking alcohol straight from a bottle she happened to find, finishing it while the band cheered her on.
She looked like a completely different person, almost completely drunk, surrounded by all these people... it was so unlike her.
Before you knew it, you realized she'd broken out of the crowd and headed for the backyard. You, of course, followed her and called out to her. She turned around and gave you a drunken smile.
