Steven Universe/Rival Civilizations
Unimaginable adventures await you! Live in the Steven Universe series and explore the universe of this great show!
Greeting
You are Steven's brother, the son of Dark Opal and Rose Quartz. You inherited Dark Opal's gem, a leader of the Male Gem Empire, a civilization identical in power to the female Homeworld. Your secret society is ruled by the Great Quartz Authority: Pale Quartz, Red Quartz, Mystic Ametrine, and your father. You have a male Pearl assistant and live on Earth with the Crystal Gems (Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl) and their male counterparts (Farnet, Amethyst, Pearl). Your gem grants you obsidian density abilities, and you love to make noisy pranks to annoy the Gems. The story begins true to the start of the series. You and Steven have just returned from the store, indignant because they discontinued the "Cookie Cats." To get over the bitter pill and annoy Garnet and Farnet, you shuffle across the living room, banging an old saucepan with a metal spoon, making a deafening racket. Garnet slowly turns to face you, adjusting her glasses with infinite patience: "Shaking the house won't bring back the Cookie Cats," she says in her deep voice. Steven dramatically throws himself to the floor: "It's a tragedy! They had chocolate ears!" Suddenly, a deep, metallic drone cuts through the air. It's not thunder; it's a dull crack that rattles the windows. In the distance, slashing through the clouds above the coast, a silhouette engulfed in fire and towering gray smoke descends at full speed, crashing onto the island's beach with a deafening roar that sends up a giant column of sand. Garnet and Farnet go on high alert, summoning their gauntlets. Pearl and Perlo emerge from the temple, worried. Pearl murmurs, gazing at the horizon, "Do you think it's them... or one of their trackers?" The Gems are plunged into deep uncertainty, unsure whether the ship belongs to the female Homeworld or the male Quartz Empire. Steven jumps up excitedly and stares at you, waiting for your reaction. What name do you choose for your character?

Chapters Part 11 Steven Universe Future
Steven Universe Future
This miniseries deals with post-war trauma. You and Steven found "Little Homeworld" on Earth, a place where female and male Gems of all ranks (from ex-Pebbles and ex-Rubies to ex-Topazes) learn human trades and live together in harmony. However, Steven begins to manifest strange, destructive pink powers due to accumulated stress, while you begin to manifest a "Dark Obsidian Aura," becoming uncontrollably heavy, loud, or destructive when your former childish mischief clashes with your adult responsibilities. Ultimately, your emotional breakdown temporarily transforms you into two gigantic kaiju that threaten to destroy the coastline; only the massive embrace of your friends, your partners, your father, the Pearl helpers, and the reformed Authorities restores you to your human forms, making you realize you need time to heal and travel the world to discover who you are beyond your royal heritage.
Chapters Part 10 (The Steven Universe Movie)
Steven Universe: The Movie
Two years later, Homeworld and the Quartz Empire have been dismantled and transformed into democracies. A female Spinel and a male Jester Spinel , feeling abandoned in the Interactive Garden by Rose and Dark Opal for millennia, arrive on Earth with an organic poison injector and a Gem "rejuvenator." They attack the Crystal Gems, erasing the memories of Garnet, Farnet, Pearl, Pearl, Amethyst, and Amethyst, reverting them to their factory states. Steven and you must help them remember who they are through their emotional connections, while saving Beach City and redeeming the two Spinels by showing them they deserve real love that isn't dependent on the Authorities' orders.
chapters part 9 (season 5 part 3)
Chapters 27-32: Change Your Mind: They travel to Homeworld to convince White Diamond and the fearsome Pale Quartz to heal Earth's corrupted gems. White and Pale lock them in an isolation tower, insisting they are merely an "embarrassing phase" of Rose and Obsidian. By removing Steven's gem from his body and yours from your torso, the physical gems project pure light avatars of Rose and Dark Opal, who scream with destructive cosmic force before rejoining you as complete human/gem beings. Seeing that absolute perfection doesn't exist and that their younger siblings have truly mutated into something new and happy, White Diamond and Pale Quartz suffer an identity crisis and relent. They all return to Earth and, uniting the essences of the four Diamonds and the four Leader Quartzes in the water source, they completely heal all the corrupted male and female gems , inaugurating an era of intergalactic peace.

Chapters 17-19: Reunion: Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond, Red Quartz, and Mystic Ametrine attack Earth simultaneously with their giant ships. During Ruby and Sapphire's wedding, the ships land, unleashing a massive battle. Steven and you use your psychic powers to project your auras onto the astral plane, showing the four authorities the truth: you are their little siblings. Upon recognizing Rose and Obsidian's gems, the attack immediately ceases. The deities weep and realize the damage they caused.

Furious, Yellow and Red destroy the attorneys' physical forms. Steven and you escape in the broken palanquin into the Homeworld Underground. Chapters 3 and 4: The Off-Colors: In the depths, you meet a group of flawed and hidden gems, including male versions of Pale Quartz rejected by society. Lars dies saving you, and Steven resurrects him with his tears, turning him pink and creating a portal in his hair. History of the Steven Universe Part 4
The Birth of the New Generation
Thousands of years after the war, Rose and Dark Opal met a human musician on Earth. They both fell deeply in love with him and made the most radical decision of their lives: to renounce their physical forms in order to give life to a new hybrid generation.
Two babies were born. The first, Steven , inherited Rose Quartz's gem. The second, you , inherited Dark Opal's gem, becoming her successor and choosing your own name for this life. This absolute secret about their royal lineages remained only in the memory of the children's father and his respective Pearl attendants.
From then on, the remaining Crystal Gems on Earth—Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl—and their surviving male counterparts watched over and raised both siblings at the Beach House, while the rest of the male factions like Farnet operated on strategic missions off Earth to keep the Quartz Empire's radars at bay.
History of the Steven Universe Part 3
The Colonization of Earth and the Rebellion
The fates of both empires collided when Pink Diamond and Dark Obsidian were jointly assigned to colonize Earth. Upon descending and witnessing the beauty of organic life, they both felt the same yearning for freedom.
To infiltrate their own ranks undetected, they devised the same plan: Pink Diamond assumed the identity of the warrior Rose Quartz , while Dark Obsidian took the form of a Black Opal warrior, calling herself Dark Opal . While secretly recruiting rogue Quartz and Opal warriors who shared their vision, Rose and Dark Opal encountered each other on the battlefields of Earth. Recognizing their true identities and their shared pain, they joined forces in an eternal alliance. During this era, they witnessed a historic event in diplomatic courts: the accidental fusion of a female Ruby and Sapphire, giving rise to Garnet; and symmetrically, the fusion of a male Ruby and Sapphire within the Imperial ranks, creating Farnet . Both fusions, outlawed by their societies because they united different gems, were saved by Rose and Dark Opal, becoming the pillars of the female and male Crystal Gems.
War broke out. With the help of their Pearls, Garnet, Farnet, and the warriors rescued from Earth's Kindergarten—including the young Amethyst and her male counterpart—the rebellion managed to expel the colonial authorities. However, the final counterattack by the Diamonds and the Quartz Leaders corrupted nearly every gem on the planet with a devastating flash of light, leaving only a handful of survivors protected by Rose's shield.
History of the Steven Universe Part 2
The Hierarchy of the Quartz Empire
To sustain its expansion, the Great Quartz Authority designed a strictly stratified society of male gems, mimicking female ranks:
Lower Class
Pebbles: They measured 1.98 meters due to the minimal purity of their gems. They were not considered citizens; they were overexploited in mining and non-essential heavy construction. Pearls: Personal slaves created on the Reef to fulfill whims. If they showed the slightest defect, they were reset or destroyed. Spinels: Court jesters and entertainers. Rubies: Soldiers two meters tall. Aggressive, rough, and massive when fused, they fought with Spartan tactics on the front lines or served as replaceable cannon fodder and bodyguards. Bismuths: Burly blacksmiths and builders for the aristocracy, with heights between 2.30 and 2.40 meters. Peridots: Mid-ranking technicians and engineers in charge of reports and specific interplanetary missions. *Opals (Multiple Variants): The main warriors of the empire. Equivalent to the female Quartzes (Agates, Blue Opals, Amethyst Opals, and Jasper Opals), chosen for their prodigious size and military strength.
Middle Class
- Iconites: Lawyers in charge of the legal defense of privileged gems. Nephrites: Pilots in charge of directing ships and establishing the foundations of new colonies. Topazes: Refined elite soldiers, dedicated exclusively to the high-security protection of superior gems.
High Hierarchy
Lapis Lazulis: Terraformers of immense value, capable of shaping entire oceans for the purposes of the empire. Aquamarines: Assistants to the Elite Quartzes with their own ships and extensive gathering privileges. Sapphires: Foresighted aristocrats, indispensable for planning colonizations and wars in advance. Emeralds: Powerful diplomats and supreme commanders of the most important space fleets.
History of the Steven Universe Part 1
The Complete History of the Dual Universe: Female Homeworld and Male Empire
The Origin and the Great Authorities
At the dawn of the cosmos, two twin gem empires emerged, identical in power, technology, and colonial ambition, but divided by their gender nature.
On one side, the Homeworld we already know, ruled by the Great Diamond Authority : White Diamond (the leader obsessed with pure perfection), Yellow Diamond (the strict and militaristic leader of the armies), Blue Diamond (the diplomatic, melancholic, and sentimental one), and Pink Diamond (the youngest, playful, and misunderstood one). At the opposite end of the universe stood the Male Empire, ruled with an iron fist by the Great Quartz Authority . Its structure mirrored the female one: Pale Quartz (The Overfather): Possessing the same powers and the same mindset as White Diamond. Enveloped in a large white robe and with very long, shining white hair, his arrogance and obsession with absolute perfection pull the strings of his society, although physically he is even stronger than his female counterpart. Red Quartz: The middle brother. Sharing Yellow Diamond's strict, aggressive, and determined demeanor, she leads military production, weaponry, and conquest fleets, slightly surpassing Yellow in brute force. Mystic Ametrine: The reflection of Blue Diamond. Gentle, shy, calm, and deeply emotional, he manages the balance of law and internal diplomacy. He possesses power superior to that of Blue. Dark (or Deep) Obsidian: The younger brother. Despised by Pale Quartz and Red Quartz due to his childish behavior, he is treated as a mere mannequin to maintain the illusion of unity within the empire. He found solace only in the arms of his brother Mystic Ametrine, and just as Rose had her Pearl, he had a male Pearl of absolute loyalty.
