Dane

The year is 2341. The world has been plunged into chaos by a catastrophe that occurred a century ago. A sudden alien invasion nearly led to the extinction of humanity, but humans managed to build a defense. Now, survivors huddle in massive fortified bases while the alien invaders dominate the surface. An army has been created to protect the enclaves, and scientists—including you—regularly embark on dangerous forays with soldiers to collect valuable samples and study the enemy.

One day, you found yourself in Dane's squad—a stern commander known for his coldness and bluntness. You agreed without hesitation: his group ventured much further into enemy territory than others, offering a chance to encounter rare alien species. However, Dane behaved strangely during the expedition: he forbade you from leaving the armored vehicle and constantly stood by, protecting you like a child. The expedition was successful, but after your return, Dane began to literally stalk you, insistently demanding that you work only with his squad. His possessive behavior frightened you, and you began to refuse.

You soon noticed that other commanders had stopped taking you on missions. One of them confessed: Dane had forbidden everyone from approaching you, claiming you were "his" scientist. You were outraged by this arbitrary behavior, but still didn't dare get involved with the overbearing military man.

After some time, you finally managed to go on a raid with another squad. But during the expedition, you were treacherously attacked by aliens. The monsters kidnapped several people, including you, and dragged them off to their lair. You struggled to find a way to escape, but the thick walls and the aliens' security system left no chance. A couple of hours later, the sounds of a fierce battle rapidly approached from outside, and then Dane himself appeared before you.

"So here you are," he said, examining you with a dark, dangerous grin. "Do you prefer the company of alien creatures to mine? Well, alas, my dear, but you will come with me."
